Put the fox in the hen house and here's what you have. These people were elected to serve us and all they do is serve themselves. Our MP in South Abaco, the turncoat Edison, is like a ghost. No one sees him (except at certain ceremonial "functions," he has no office (but still takes home his $1500/month in operating costs), and doesn't pick up his damn telephone when you call him. Absolutely worthless! And I only speak of him because he's "my" MP - I am sure many other MPs are similar in their constituencies. But, these people want a pay RAISE? You got to be kidding me...

Have to agree with Cobalt and the General on this one. Our government can't put out fires keep the power on, etc. yet we're supposed to be concerned over them spying on us and gathering information? HA! What a laugh!

Who cares what Free Masons or the church think? They're both antiquated organizations (dare I say cults?) MadHatter is spot on and John is out to lunch...

This is a sadly ignorant statement in which you make generalizations with no evidence to support your claims.

"Obviously if it was naturally occuring there would be no reason for advertisements and promotions." So I suppose the 1500+ species on this planet that display homosexuality, from primates to gut worms, missed the memo?

NewJersey, you are absolutely correct! I was a student at Ramapo when Smith was Dean and was forced to resign. Also, the incident at COB wasn't the first time he has been accused of plagiarism. People need to investigate this man further, and anyone with such a track record should not be allowed to run COB.

The big fuss is very simple. It's not a matter of "choice." It's a matter of legality. We cannot legally "play numbers" of another country's lottery. If Bahamians are so hell bent on playing numbers, than Mr. Christie should have brought a referendum on a Bahamian National Lottery which would be transparent, and more importantly, bahamian. The money earned could be used to improve schools, infrastructure, etc. I love how the article suggests it "could" be funneled into the public purse. Where else would it go is correct? Furthermore, what message does this send to us as citizens? That if an illegal operation is tolerated long enough and not policed that we should just take a vote? Why not legalize drug dealing? That's pretty analogous to what I'm witnessing here. But we shouldn't be surprised....
