As to audit findings of malfeasance, the PLP dust just gets mixed in with the FNM dust. No Government in the sunshine for our poor Bahamas. We are teetering on the precipice of a no return fall...... We are getting ready to join the ranks of many failed states...
This Government is disgusting. Their treatment of The Abacos is deplorable, especially after sucking it dry in unrequited taxes for decades. i hope no political party is shameful enough to solicit votes from The Abaconians come next election.
I think this individual has a virtual learning impairment and needs to be dismissed, post-haste...... These are the same people that have allowed jam up together waiting lines outside the stores for six months. The fact that it made no sense was too over the top for our poor government.....
There are a gazillion illegal immigrants, running the length and breadth of Abaco, the legacy of one Edison Key and his friends and family and both the PLP and FNM governments, selling everything from themselves to liquor to dope to firearms to clothing to groceries to stolen goods without the benefit of a business license. Why? Because they are illegal and do not belong here but all government agencies turn a blind eye (they may be intimidated by the highly corrupt UN). This diaspora of illegals, particularly Haitian, is unprecedented in the Bahamas. There has been no "majority rule" government within the last fifty years with either the will or the balls to deal with the huge problem. So what do they do? They find some poor old dude, out in the middle of nowhere, miles from all of the aforementioned criminals, and decide to throw the book at him for a little harmless gardening and self-protection. These others are out in the open all over the place, squatting and thriving and procreating in abandoned Dorian-ravished buildings.Talk about incredibly strange, to put it mildly, and possibly even racially discriminatory. It sure is better in The Bahamas!
And while they are at it, legalize the damn marijuana and go after the real criminals, especially within the police and defense forces. What is the purpose of the defense force anyhow, to protect citizens against an attack by alien ganja plants? BTW, I understand these guys have been trying out their latest toys, the dreaded drones!
