You have to give him credit, he weasels himself and his companies into every business deal that impacts Freeport. His construction company is involve in building the bridge and other projects in Freeport. This one amazes me, how do you get to keep 20 million from the sale of the Port. In addition, you get to say who purchase it.
I am glad that the sale didn't come to fruition. All you have to do is look at Eight Mile Rock and you will definitely conclude that you don't want the government running Freeport. The government is practically lousy at anything it touches. They can't even collect garbage properly(heard someone in Pinewood complaining that their garbage haven't been collected in over a month).
The B$ can not be devalued because it is not traded internationally. It is artificially peg to the American $. What the IMF could do if our economy becomes a mess and we invite them in is compel our government to allow the B$ to trade and then we will see a free fall of the B$.
No surprise here! Even if Bahamar was to open no vendor will provide them with credit. Pay as you go is extremely difficult for new entities,The government definitely miscalculated.
If the court was illegal should the police follow the orders of an illegal court. If the court was illegal then the police carrying out the order of the court automatically results in an unlawful arrest. Sounds like a law suit to me.
Not smart until some scrupulous individual collects donations and start selling it to the locals. Not smart until someone start to hoard. During the fog of war anything goes but an organize effort will be needed to insure that supplies go to were they are intended. Remember Francis and Jeanne, even the Government had to be compel not to place donation in the hell hole they call the consolidated fund.
