Actually, I thought the exact same thing. Unless bahamar consent to such payments, legally the Government still owes them the full amount.

Actually, she is fortunate that she got bail for murder so early. I can't recall no one getting bail for murder after only spending 4 months in jail.

The only problem is that you can't get law enforcement officers in any country to say, "I made a mistake and accidentally shot him". It almost as if they are taught from the same handbook. Their explanation is, there was a struggle and he attempted to get my gun or something close.

Don't forget the receivers, they get pay before all others.

I was curious to see how the Atlantis takeover was handle and to my surprise it was handle in Delaware also. Apparently most bankruptcy cases in the United States are file in Delaware Chancery Court. This court has been dealing with such cases from 1791 and it is their core competency. The then FNM government approach was more hand-off even though they had a great relationship was Sol Kersner.

Question ; Is the Government subsidizing the cost of passport or the Bahamian people subsidizing it. We subsidize a bloated public service, we subsidize a broken airline, we subsidize hotels that can't pay BEC. Its about time we get something from constantly been frisk by the government.

Amateur hour. Under are system the Attorney General has tremendous influence over the operation of the judiciary. She may not have direct control over judges but she exerts tremendous influence over the process. We know that the government have sided with the Financiers and the Construction Company but it is absurd to put it in writing. Take for instance, Atlantis, 99% of the population don't even know who the financier was or who build it.

It is common knowledge that the government tend to suspend all fees owed or pending for major developments. Future developers when or if they come will remember this fiasco of using these fees to commence liquidation proceedings. All most every single major development when nearing completion don't have the moneys to pay these fees.

This could get messy because all the key decision makers in the PLP are lawyers. Lawyers don't take on cases base on whether they can win or lose but on the clients ability to pay. That clouded way of thinking handicaps most lawyer ability to rationally think cases through. My greatest concern is that the government don't have an end game. The urging by Mr. Gomez strikes me as bluffing.
