maybe bahamian landlords are just fed up with renting to bahamians who don't pay, trash the place and then you can't get them out until you go to Magistrates and get a court bailiff. I for one am not interested in entering the landlord rental market in the Bahamas until we have the credit rating agency up and running. 6 months paid up front or damn good references are the order of the day. Add on top that gov't said you can't evict for non-payment while covid is going on. what is a landlord with a bank mortgage payment due supposed to do?
