the islands ran out of tests, what do you expect to happen? lets make up another rule that the govt is simple too discombobulated to carry out like providing license plates when you license your car. How long have people been driving around with a receipt now??? dont blame the masses for your incompetence.
The Bahamas voted whole heartedly against equal rights for women on 2 different occasions. Why would it be an issue now? I'm just saying. The Bahamas discriminates, don't pretend we don't.
we need the credit rating bureau to get started. We need to figure out how to get a buyer with approved credit before they enter a purchase negotiation. More of the Bahamas backwards mentality. everywhere else in the world: "Get pre-approved so you know how much you can afford". The Bahamas: go hire attorney (big $) then pay for an appraisal (more $) hand over all your paperwork then wait 3 months and find out that they will only lend you half of the money you need to buy the house. cancel that transaction, waste buyer and seller time, waster seller money but increase lawyers income for doing essentially nothing. Such a great system of business and banking in the Bahamas.
All Lip Service, if it happens I will applaud the government but I just don't see this going anywhere. it has been only lipservice for 40 years, why would I be gullible enough to believe that something is going to change now? What I dont understand is how it got to the point of having a house on it before Wilson decided to raise the issue. Like how do you not know that several people are building homes on land you own for years... It just sounds like a setup to screw money out of govt.
what a load of poppycock? did he really say that NIB contributions have not been raised? Where was he when the NIB rate was raised a few years ago? I get the impression (squinting) that Mr. Rolle may have never actually made a contribution himself. NIB is supposed to be a government controlled, regulated and enforced national pension plan NOT a gov't slush fund to get votes. GTFOOPariliament
I understand that 201 out of 15,000 is probably higher than 1,141 out of 50,000. All I'm saying is that perhaps a bit of common sense might be beneficial here. On the same vein 47 out of 800 is probably way higher than both of these... just saying
