The sip sip is that a select few are already working on getting themselves one of 2 or 3 licenses which will be granted soon. I wonder who will get it??? Is Mr. Sands going to be one of the lucky few?

But seriously. The case is about the ability of individual immigration officers to act as judge jury and executioner. It is not right anyway you look at it. Even of he was the most evil of men. We are all entitled to due process, know your rights. Above commenters need to stop obfuscating the issue

The irony is that with these kinds of development projects comes an increase in crime and population density which is often one of the big reasons these areas are targeted for development.

I disagree with Mr. Carey. It must be a government entity and all details of a real estate transaction should be properly recorded and easily available for anyone to review. It should be publically available information as it is in any developed world. Certain real estate brokers and lawyers make huge profits at the expense of the consumer public by having this information basically hidden. And the current 3 month to 2 year time frame it takes a lwyer to close a sale is atrocious unfair to Joe public and downright diabolical. And the legal profession loves that things remain the same. In some parts of the world one can sell an home in 24 hours and doesn't need a lawyer or real estate agent. Meanwhile it's better in the bahamas. Better at being vrappy at business lol

As they say "often imitated never replicated". how about creating some other interesting adventure tour instead of copying the existing model. Surely these 'celebrity eco' people could put some brain power into creating something new and interesting instead of trying to capitalize on the success of other enterprises.

I'd say blame it on this new catchall phrase "compliance". It is ruining this country slowly but surely. Mark my words. When a buyer of real estate here has to be "compliant" with, at minimum, 10 different institutions (and at maximum maybe triple that) you are ruining the ease of doing business in this country. And my bank keeps losing the multiple copies of my passport every year. Trust me, my name ain't changed..lol
