Bahamasforbahamians is not smart. or he/she thinks the rest of us aint. The theft article is dated July 17 2017 and references theft which occurred prior to the FNM taking Power in May 10 2017. Post hoc ergo propter hoc the theft at BPL is a direct allegation at the former PLP administration and has absolutely nothing to to with Bannister. this persons needs to go sit small in the corner

To these 2 pundits. Know your topic before making inaccurate comments. 1st. Bahamians pay 0 zero nil null tax on undeveloped land. Think about that before making statements about who the tac regime benefits. 2nd the vast majority of Bahamians who are lucky enough to own a home pay no property tax because the value is under $250,000. The other apartment in the duplex is taxable as income property. So who benefits from the skewed property tax rates? The Bahamian elite who own lots of undeveloped acreage.
@Clamshell. Read the paper more often. Disney held town meeting on eleuthera very recently. I say let disney develop half and make the other half a nature preserve. It is a middle of the road solution. Disney only needs a 20 or 30 acres they don't need the entire 700 acre tract. @concerned whike there are many beautiful spots around the bahamas this one is in the top 10 and is currently unspoiled. Almost every exuma cay is privately owned even some within the park.
If a Bahamian dictionary were created I'm quite sure the words transparency, accountability, honesty etc. would be conveniently omitted. We don't even know where to start...
