Agreed, i fully expect to see promises of hospitals on every street corner, and state of the art schools everywhere. All great, but no talk about to pay for it. I have already seen one party say they would reduce VAT and increase minimum wage, when asked how Government could afford this they said the increased spending by those whose wages have increased would lead to extra Government revenue (whilst no mention that many of those are Government employees so Government would be losing twice). Anyway i expect they all will say whatever it takes to get elected.
Unfortunately that's one of those that you can basically say FNM will win easily (there are around another 3 at least, and PLP probably have a few more then that).
So the two other people who could have brought in a fixed election date when they were in power, but didn't, now say there should not be a snap election. I take it they don't like Minnis as he has never used them. Seeing as they are part of the group of 3 i blame for the situation of the last 30 years i am happy we didn't have to see them
I had to look this up as it sounded good. However from what i can tell, in the UK 69% of adults have had two doses (88% single) and as of July 28th 60% of the hospitalization are in the unvaccinated. So 40% are either single or double vaccinated. Based on these numbers being vaccinated dramatically reduces your changes of going to hospital.
We are around a year out from when Minnis said he needed us to lockdown for 2 more weeks and that would be it. We did and yet again he lied. I have no idea why he keeps saying stuff which he know will probably not be true. The other week it was vaccinated people are out of the pandemic, yet now they are also being held under curfew (which no scientific study has ever shown to work). This time it is this being the last emergency orders and they will expire on November 13th. I no longer believe it, so why say it.
Condolences to the family, however In order for the family islands to have all the medical equipment needed taxes would need to go up a lot. May i first suggest that family islands are no longer exempt from real property and all funds raised via this is directed to that island.
Iceland has had just over 8,000 cases and 30 deaths, since the start of the year they have had 1 death and a couple thousand cases. UK had the same number of cases as its winter peak, and yet its deaths were down almost 90%. The vaccine doesn't stop covid, but it gives you a much better chance at not getting sick and potentially dying, then not taking the vaccine.

Wonder how many people will say they took the vaccine because it would meant they would be out of the pandemic? Or was the person saying that lying?
