Unfortunately we don't investigate over here. What we do is say we will have an investigation and then do nothing. Case in point the BPL fires, the Exuma boat, at a guess the bus crash in Eleuthera this week, the list goes on and on. Nothing will change as we don't actually want to know the full scale of how corrupt we are as a nation.
Sounds great, but i know of some businesses that are still waiting on URCA to say yes they can do this. After applying more then a year ago and meeting all the criteria . Government does not want those that pay their bills on time to go solar as they know they will then really have issues.
Its all politics to both sides. The PLP just like to rile their base up by saying the white bogey man is coming to put you back to pre 1967 days. They forget to mention that times have changed and whilst their are still many very wealthy whites, there are also many very wealthy blacks. Some of whom do a lot worse to their fellow Bahamians, like the last owners of City market and Solomon's who the PLP never seemed to have a problem with. But as long as what they say gets them votes they can then do as they like when in power (like give contracts to that same white bogeyman).
Fully agree, but they are going to need some penalties in place to enforce this, otherwise the streets will be covered in garbage for a long time after the next carnival.
If no one is going to be arrested over what the FNM claims to be corruption. then give up saying it all the time. If it's due to the law not be able to do anything change the law. But going on and on about it whilst doing nothing was boring last year and is getting even worse this year.
Waste of money. Yes you can blame PLP but you lot are doing exactly the same. The only way that stadium will be full is for concerts, there won't ever be a game that can fill that waste. No doubt it actually cost a lot less but as this one went over two different Governments, each Governments people need to get paid.
So Government should let a first time operator do a critical infrastructure program such as the runway to make sure there is competition. A company who would therefore have no experience in doing this? I take it if the Government had to pay them $40 million this would be OK as long as it isn't BHM.
LOL, would put money on the same people saying its Corrupt for BHM to be awarded it, to say typical FNM giving the jobs to foreigners if they weren't awarded it (BHM was the only Bahamian company to apply). Case of Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.
