Literally nothing has changed in 40 years. All the money they have ploughed into this department and they still use paper. Cheaper to make the whole workforce retire and pay that bill and then hire some people who can use a computer then to continue as is.
They never said they don't want to train the workers. What they said was the foreigners will build it and make it operational. Then BPL staff take over. The Finnish company is smart, they will make plenty money this way as every couple of months they will have to come over to fix the generators, so they will be able to charge emergency fees on this.
So i take it Maynard wants BPL to train the staff first and then install the generators. If what we are told that 6 months of training is not enough, then the power plant will need to be put off by a year or two whilst we train up people. In addition to this, nearly every single installation contract will state that the warranty will be invalid if not installed by the installers people. Why not let the Finnish company install it, during which time the Union can make sure their people are trained to maintain it once it is open. if there happens to be a lag of a couple of months from opening to when people are trained then use the foreigners to maintain until then. Also please don't use the people who are currently maintaining the 2 stroke plants, as they obviously can't do that so 4 strokes will definitively be beyond them.
Wait, wait, wait. Wasn't it a couple weeks ago we were told that there would be no issues this summer? Now we are told this will be the last summer of outages. BPL obviously has no idea what they are talking about. Looking forward to power cuts to continue for the next 10-20 years, until solar is cheap enough for me to cover my house and never need BPL again.
Have they not thought that another reason for the VAT being under the estimate is they have maxed this area out. People are cutting expenditure now in order to deal with the VAT increase. Going forward any new increases in VAT, whilst increasing the overall amount brought in will bring in a smaller % increase then the % increase in VAT.
Not sure if you are right or wrong here. But can you show me a company that has issued shares that did it on their own directly. Normally over here they use fidelity or CFAL.
No, no one is listening. There is a general belief that the person being beat deserves it, as such no one cares. For evidence, go back every few months and something of this nature occurs, police say an investigation will occur, then nothing. This hasn't changed since i can remember, so i highly doubt it will change anytime soon.
Yes, they came out to where my boat is and checked the lights, engine ID, lifejackets, fire extinguisher, flare, tools, radio etc and this was on a small boat. Though i have to note i didn't have all them it is still a good idea for them to continue with.
Every year someone from BPL says that there will be no issues in the summer, and then summer comes and there are issues. Why the tribune doesn't point this out when they say it is beyond me.
