Every year they say the same thing and then nothing. I truly hope that not only do they go after those who owe, but also name and shame them, but i won't hold my breath. I now don't believe much that is said over here until i see it happen.
So from what i can tell it is only the Fyre festival organisation to blame as no minister at the time had any dealing with them. This of course leads to the question of why did these ministers neglect doing their duty so much that an organisation like Fyre was able to come down and do all that they did. Or have the ministers not thought through fully what they are implying.
Hmm, i would think that people would be happy to make sure the cars that come here are to a certain standard. But apparently, based on the comments above, they are not. guess most people would have been happy with the romaine lettuce being sold here when they were recalled in the States. As long as they were cheap who cares.
Every time we discuss change it always takes years. It's not as though we are the only place in the world to be considering doing this and there are also no countries who have done it. As such the route to take is already laid out. But to follow them means not being able to have committee after committee in which all the connected people can sit on and get paid very handsomely for. It would be easier and cheaper if we just tell the committee members they will receive $1 million each at the end of the discussions, however this would decrease by $100,000 for each month they take. My guess is it would all be done by the weekend then.
As long as the vendors don't complain when the conch fishery collapse they can continue as is. Apparently according tho them a conch can produce 200-500,000 eggs at a time, and i assume they also think that all these eggs will grow up to be mature conch and do the same thing. This is why our sea is so loaded with conch you can't walk in the shallows without stubbing your toe. I assume these fishermen also fish the same location they did 30 years ago as there should still be plenty conch there. As there is no way they have to go further and further afield to find the conch.
Whilst it is always a shame when a company closes, Taylors did not move with the times. They should have updated their store or moved to a more easily accessible location a long time ago. We can blame Government all we want but when was the last time one of us went in there. There is plenty other electrical stores to go to with more modern offerings.
Problem is everyone thinks there is plenty left. What they don't remember is when they were a kid you could get plenty a few miles away from Nassau (if you are my age, the older people will remember getting them off Nassau). Now you have to travel far to get any. Unfortunately nothing will change until its too late and we become like Key West which is still hoping to get its conch population back after 30 years
I say let the people see the bids from all 3 to see what we think would be best. Of course each bid will try and discredit the other. Let the people see so we can make up our mind and then watch Government no doubt chose the one we would all agree would be the worst for us. As opposed to the Government choosing and then never letting us see the other two.
I believe tickets are the same for New years Day as well as Boxing day, which is stupid if the case. Boxing day is the main one and therefore NY day should be less. In addition Junkanoo is now not solely these two days, as we have Junknoo Fest, Junkanoo at other events etc that we can see it pretty much any month we want. Which takes some of the magic away.

Don't think the person blamed the poor, they blamed those who don't pay their bills. Or do you think people who don't pay their bills are poor?
