Fully agree. It is time for these ministers and officers to stop patting themselves on the back publicly for the drop. Stop making it political as even though there has been a drop it is still way too high.
Its because there is always at least one very good civil service worker who is able to do the job. Unfortunately you have to go through a lot of the bad before you get to them. These people are never rewarded as their bosses realise they need them at that level as they are the only ones doing their job. As such those who are incompetent or lazy are the ones getting promoted.
Yup in the short term, but it should reduce the interest on loans in the future for those with good credit scores as the Banks etc will know there is less risk with them. Should have happened a long time ago but as with everything we need to check everything 50 times (with different consultants each time) even though there are plenty examples of what has worked and not worked around the world.
And herein lies the problem. Yes the FNM are doing foolishness but the PLP would be no better. We have 3.5 years left of this Government and if they continue as is they will lose, which unfortunately means the PLP which means no real change for the country. Hopefully either the FNM get their proverbial straight or another party with good candidates comes on the scene.
If they asked the consumer whether they would want cheaper power or to continue to pay the same so no jobs are lost i would guarantee nearly all would say cheaper power. People like this give unions a bad name, he is basically saying he doesn't care about the general public being made broke by the cost of BEC.
The Government should not force the Churches to abide by this law. However they should say if the churches do not then they can not get any of the duty breaks, cheap land, cheaper BEC or anything else for cheaper or free.
There is no way every company with revenue over $10 million can have an audit done within 6 months of December 31st 2018. Firstly there are not enough auditors in this country to do it, secondly some of these companies have never been audited so it will take longer then 6 months. Will be interesting to see if Government amends this or allows the audit firms to bring in 100's of foreign auditors. Oh and thanks to the Government they are adding another $50,000 minimum if not more expense to all these companies.
Yes and the same can be said about the PLP (lied about Atlantis, and they get richer and the poor who cares). Anybody who puts party politics above the Country is part of the problem. Until we as a nation get rid of those who will only vote one way no matter what we won't go forward as a nation.
The police always say it so the general population does not freak out about the level of crime. The whole system has basically collapsed, you have people out on the streets who have been charged with murder 5 years ago. Whilst i don't agree with people being locked up whilst awaiting a trial if it takes that long, they need to ensure that the trial happens within a short time, during which the person can be locked up (say withing a month of them being charged).
So explain to me who can get it that would be different. Whoever gets it there will be some who won't. Please don't say government run it as that has not worked and unless there is major change in government will not work, and that major change will take decades to do, time we do not have.
