Yet again people need to learn their history. The UBP got more votes then the PLP in 1967 it was the election in 1968 where over 50% voted for the PLP.

Is this 30-50,000 realistic. I have often discussed with people the number of Bahamians who gamble, our guesses range from 40-80%, even at 40% you are looking at over 100,000 (adults). If its true that Webshops are a $1 billion industry are they really saying that those 50,000 spend $20,000 each year at the web shops?

Agreed, however another reason they want the private sector to do the work for them is that they can't trust the civil service and they don't have the balls to deal with them. They know if items are paid for by Cash they only see a certain %, they know customs lets a lot of items through at lower rates or no rates for some $. So they make it that the private sector collects and pays them straight to their bank account via wires etc and not cash.

Typical Government, bring in a rule that makes no sense. Guess they want people to be happy they actually listened and got rid of it, however thats not the case, its just another indication that we are run by idiots. Not sure if they are aware, but there is a thing called computers and the internet meaning Customs can very easily check to make sure the company is paid up, in fact you can have it so the if the companies business license isn't paid the system should say do not allow out. But i guess thats too hard for Government. One other thing that Government keeps doing and has done here, when they think that someone maybe gaming the system (with those large suspicious transactions), instead of dealing with that company or person, they decide to make it harder for all to use the system, which will invariably lead to more people gaming the system.

So basically go against what the constitution says. If these people are entitled to citizenship per the constitution then they should be given it. If they aren't then they shouldn't. If we the Bahamian people do not like this part of the constitution then change it. But don't go against what the constitution says because you don't like the outcome.

Sort of agree. The majority did not vote PLP in 1962, but they had the most votes party wise. The same as 1967 when PLP won, UBP had more votes. I think 1968 is the first time a party had a majority of the votes (PLP), but i may be wrong.

He never said that and as always instead of dealing with the issues about the party that you worship you try and deflect. What he said was the guy from ZNS has admitted that he made up all the stories, and these are stories that people you worship agreed with and used to try and benefit a certain person. Even when the person admits deceit you refuse to at least say yes my party did wrong or was wrong to listen to this person. At least try and be some what partial and think what is best for the country and not just those at the top who wear yellow (only the top as those who wore yellow from their heartlands (over the hill) have not benefited that much from them).

This should have been priced into their decision making when they built the building. As the debt level comes down their interest should drop (from $42 million), in addition their deprecation should reduce so they will then start to 'make' a profit some point in the future. This is why people are more concerned with the ebitda. The main issue i would have for them is the $42 million in interest. If banks are currently offering less then 1% interest they should be able to cut that by a lot by restructuring, as currently they are paying roughly 8% on their debt, if reduced to 6% would save them $10 million.

If you just use Nassau the highest year up to 2016 was 2006 with 1,018,816, for Bahamas as a whole it was 1996 with 1,633,105. In 2016 we had 1,481,832 stopover. Now if you include cruise ships then yes the number has been basically increasing year on year. But stopover, thats not the case.

Hmm if he has the approvals then the stop order should be removed. if however he started to clear the land etc before the approvals then he should made to put the land back to as it was (or as close too), with a fine and a 5 year moratorium on building. Either way give the man an answer
