Is Mr Bell saying that prior to this port Government were earning $578 million every five years on the port and was still not able to do anything with it.? OR is he saying it took a private company to come in and show Government how to run the port? Are we making more from the port now then we were before or less? If more and we have a new port at no cost to us then seems like a win, if less then its a bad deal. Finally why is the Minister of Immigration talking about this during his allotted time and not immigration issues?
So i assume you will be anti PLP with all their PPP's they are going to do on the airport? Or is that OK. Yes i am sure some of those families you talk about bought into the port, but so did thousands of other Bahamians who never could before, and it is those that you don't want to have shares.
Wow, it would probably be better to scrap the RBDF if they can't even manage to get a boat to last longer then 9 years. This has to be a money grab. Fully expect to see the same garbage about environmentally friendly being used so they can go on a asset building spree.
Finally a development which isnt stupidly large for the area and sounds as though they may have sufficient parking. Reckon Town planning will say no to this as i am sure they think their job is to have people park on the roads
Climate change is out rally cry in the hope that we get more money given to us. We won't do anything to change the effect we contribute as we will just point out that it is tiny so there will be no effect. All along we will continue to have no Recyling, clear all the hills, bulldoze all the forests and destroy all the mangroves. We are very good at talking the talk, but have no intention of walking the walk as we would rather use our car.
Yes and they should do the same for hotels, and the same for supermarkets. Sounds like a great idea. Should they also then mandate that the banks must have a branch for every 100 customers which means nearly every island should have a bank?
