Pretty much every Government function has been held at BahaMar. They only held the VP of US at Atlantis due to the owners of Bahamar. Thats the reward.
Writer if Davis was not head of Caricom would she have come? If the answer is yes then it shows the value of the travel. If it is no then it shows it was of no value.
Seeing as a lot of people don't care about driving unlicensed and uninsured, all they are doing is adding another law that will not be enforced. If they just enforced the current laws the roads would be much better. But that's too much like hard work, and may mean someone connected being caught which we can't risk.
Whilst i agree somewhat with the letter writer, this country needs to accept criticism better. When people criticize the police for the shootings (most not all of course), what one of our main criticisms is that there is no follow up. Its almost as though by saying fear for their lives makes the case closed. Maybe all shootings have been correct, but with no court case more and more people are losing faith in the police. The above is also tied into the judiciary. Of course you have to have bail for everything, if you can't take a suspect to court for 7 years. They need to speed up the court process. Every change of government has brought in someone who says they will speed it up, but then nothing changes. This leads to people feeling there is no justice in this country, which then leads to no faith in the judiciary and also the police. Get court cases dealt with in a reasonable time frame, and have all police involved shootings dealt with quickly and things should/may change for the better
LOL i was going to say the same thing. And he says some so that's more then 1. The Bishop has no idea and doesn't care as nothing will come of it. Another waste of Public money
"To those who worry that a delay will make the eventual increase larger than it otherwise would have been, we can assure you that will not be the case," Mr Davis said in a statement.
Umm what sort of economics is this? If the increase is now you will have a years worth of increase as extra funds which means you would be in a better position. If that's not the case then why can't it wait for two years?
No he said the PM should be honest with the people and say what needs to be done. In order for the PM to be able to say no new taxes and promote that last week he has pushed off dealing with NIB to later. I assume once he increases it you will be on here fawning about how great it is.
This is a terrible article. The whole time slating one side for "Well, they don’t lie in seemingly phony concerns expressed only to cover self-interest", and yet the whole article is this so writer doing exactly that. I take it that as it is called an "insight" it can be the writers view with no journalistic skills involved. There is no confirmation of any of the assumptions made, just assumotions used to make the writers point.
Just pass a law saying the ceiling increases by X% each year. That way there is certainty in the system and no large increases out of the blue. Mind you we are probably only talking about 10 homes if that
