Dawes says...

Out of interest is the $800 the profit after paying for the fuel, or $800 the profit after paying the fuel and all other expenses?

Dawes says...

If they did that they could pay off most of the debt. But that also means doing their job so highly doubtful.

Dawes says...

What else are the retailers meant to do. Like many they have told the government they need a change, and like many nothing has happened. government will say they understand but they don't want to cause any more pain on the public. If government was really sincere they would cu their fuel duty by an amount that they can give to the retailers. but they won't do that.

Dawes says...

LOL Yet again its fairly obvious how Town Planning made their decisions. Nothing to do with planning from them

Dawes says...

AS long as Government ensures that Wendy's has to pay the necessary fees to keep the surrounding area clear (all fast food shops should have to do this) and it meets the necessary requirements then it should occur. If Atlantis and others feel so anti it just close the exits from marina Village to that area

Dawes says...

Umm a business has every right to point out issues that may potentially affect it. As long as they go about it legally who cares. RCI has said it would lead to 2-300 jobs. The real question is how many jobs will be lost if RCI goes ahead. If it is less then this then it makes sense to do it. If more then there is little sense. Jobs that are lost will be from a number of different areas, be it from Atlantis who won't need as many water park employees as less cruise passengers use the water park, or the taxis that take the passengers to Atlantis, or stores etc on Bay street. But as always no survey is done on the negatives of a project just the supposed positives.

Dawes says...

Prevention is better then the cure, so please make sure all parks are kept clean, have good lighting and are safe. That way more people will try and stay fit.

The original writer implied that this was a ruse to stop black men getting married which would mean they would duck the "god-ordained responsibility of being real men, husbands and fathers". I was pointing out that this already occurs based on more children being borne out of wedlock.

Dawes says...

70 % of our children are born out of wedlock, I think we are doing a good enough job of not being real men, husbands and fathers on our own. But hey lets blame someone else for our own failings so we can feel it isn't our fault.

Dawes says...

So the pastor thinks that this would be used by woman to end marriages? Do we really want people to be involved in marriages where the only way they can get out of them is to go through a whole trial on whether rape happened? This man is pathetic, its no wonder this country is becoming less and less Christian with people like him making sermons.
