WE don't do health and safety here. We accept that every year there will be a couple of deaths and many serious injuries on building sites. IF we wanted to reduce these we would enforce health and safety laws. I shouldn't see people 5 floors up on a roof with no safety harness, or people wearing no hard helmets. When was the last time someone inspected buildings to say they were safe? . Until that changes tragic situations such as these will continue.
Of course the easement is open. This talk by Wynn that they have a legal opinion that it is no longer there is alarming and Government should immediately inform them that is not the case. Easements can not be gotten rid of just because someone wants that. They are there for all the pubic.
It is over 3 months since this happened and we are still talking about what is going to happen. Someone needs to help the people of North Andros as the Government won't
40 units and 49 spots, thats only 1.23 per unit. This doesn't even include the spots needed for staff. I would suggest if Bahamians find no parking in Goodmans car park they park outside of Wynn making their entrance an eyesore. How Town Planning could OK the initial building and then this with no parking is beyond me.
