Mr Allen should look at all the tour boats that go to green cay to show the tourists the turtles. He may then realized that many Bahamains are benefitting from this. A lot more then those who used to eat Turtle. Mind you if he set up a farm and only sold farm raised turtle meat I wouldn't have a problem with that. I just think its better to have turtles in our waters.

Agreed on the pedestrians. They seem to think they can walk in the middle of road when its dark and not wear any bright clothes.

Why not make it easy and say Govt gets 75% after costs have been taken out. That way all make money, and all costs paid. Otherwise let Govt pay for the exploration and then we can keep 100% . Of course that's as long as we find something. If we don't then we are millions out of pocket and will wish we had kept the formula at 25% for Govt.

Over here we have had two sitting MP's charged, Wilbert Moss in 1989 and Bill Cartwright in 1956. I believe that both resigned after being convicted. If thats the case then Gibson should stay until the court decides his fate.

ANd what changes will be brought in so this never happens again? NONE. So they may as well stay quiet. It seems there has been plenty new ambassadors named recently. Release all amounts being spent for them. Let's see if this is a one off or happens all the time. My guess is this is being used for politics and there is no intention of doing anything to change it. Also if this is true make sure all the protocols were followed, and if not deal with that person.

I am on both sides of the fence. If he has done nothing wrong (and we will find out soon enough), then why resign. By resigning he is showing guilt. However if he is guilty then he was silly to even run and they should throw the book at him.

Dawes says...

Ahh yes how right you are, I need to try and see the bigger picture. Glad to know all will be well!!!

LOL and wait till later in the summer, X plant has broken down due to lack of maintenance and now we will need to spend 10 times as much to fix it. This is the same throughout all Govt organizations. But hey it isn't the money of the people who are running them, so who cares as the public is expected to increase their contributions to government by another $500-750 million, over the next few years.

Dawes says...

And yet nothing will happen. SO who cares anymore

The real question is what should a living wage be able to get. The UB study which said it should be a lot larger then $250 was based on the family head being the sole worker with 2 kids. IN reality there could be two people working which then reduces the living wage amount per person. Also, of course the minimum wage should go up, however there needs to also be an increase in productivity. If the person is contributing the same to the company as before where is the company to make that additional money?
