The east bay street ones are ones where someone (assume MOW) has dug them up and then left it for a week. How this is allowed is beyond me. It can't be that hard to dig up, fix what you need to and repair, all in one day, two at most. But we accept mediocre service so thats all we get.

This is not good. Inland Revenue should not be able to do this without a court order. Once that has happened then take the items away. As it is, if inland revenue is wrong they should be liable to cover the loss of business as well as reputational damage. We are now in the busy part of our tourism season, it seems there will be a number of disgruntled guests without golf carts this week.

Umm that is the exact opposite of what has been implied by the PM and DPM. So which is it?

The letter writer assumes a lot. To say if we had income tax there would be no debt and little poverty is strange. Pretty much every country that has income tax has both of these, so why would we be any different. What rate does the writer propose the income tax to be. And what effect would that rate have on the number of persons paying? As a note i am not saying we shouldn't have income tax, i just feel before it is introduced we need to look at the full effect and also what the rate would be.

Umm if treat us as an equal partner, we will therefore do the same for them and provide them with schools etc? After all thats what an equal partner does.

Lol thinking that the EIA is going to say anything that will stop the project. This has been decided long ago. I wouldn't even be suprised if there is a breakwater put in which would destroy the whole area envioronmentally.

Dawes says...

I am sure this is already approved, Town planning doesn't often say no (even when no planning is evident). Maybe if Government would have to at the same time increase WSC, Schools, Clinics etc to take account of the growth they would reconsider. But highly unlikely.

Do hotels pay real property? Do hotels pay duty? Then vacation rentals should get the same exemptions.
