Dawes says...

It is very telling to most if they ain't willing to tell you who yet. Either there is no one, or they don't trust the information with him.

There are already laws on the books stopping this stuff. They just aren't enforced. This is all to make people think they are doing something. They will talk about it for a year or two, hope it blows over before they enact it. If it doesn't they will enact it and like most laws they won't enforce it. Have all those who should disclose , disclosed? This is one of the controls to ensure no corruption. but it is ignored, just like any new law will be.

Dawes says...

Wonder how he got this job if he doesn't understand that. He could have said it happens in US election years and people would have agreed. Instead he went with this, and the Tribune using their reporting skills just repeated it and didn't question it

Dawes says...

No one said it did. If you read what i wrote you will see where i said the last parliament and any before. All out. You have no problem with it as its your beloved PLP and therefore you don't care about the country.

All you want to do is sweep it under the rug. Anything that may make your party look bad you don't want to hear. You don't care what it does to the country , all you care about is your beloved PLP. Let the chips fall where they may and if it means all sitting MPs and those from the last parliament and any before that go down then so be it. AS a country we will never do better if we don't stop this corruption, no matter which party.

The speaker is terrible. If you want someone to make a situation worse, call on her. How the PM is unable to see this is beyond me. But i guess anything that makes people talk about something other then the US arrests is good news

Dawes says...

Yet again reactive rather then proactive. There are plenty laws in place to stop corruption, the powers that be just chose to ignore them. When was the last time all MPs had done their disclosures as they are meant to by law?

Watch the PM shake an orange tree now, so no apples fall

Dawes says...

What happened in parliament today was a complete embarrassment for the nation. The speaker should be ashamed. The Government should just admit they want to portray the image that they are taking this seriously, however no one else is allowed to talk and only they can set the narrative. That rather enforces the idea we are corrupt to our core. Well done Speaker in showing you usual impartiality as is required by the post.
