We tax business on their revenue, which means even if they make a loss they pay taxes. If we taxed on profit government would get $0 for the last year from most companies. But Corporation tax is much better then business license. On income tax i hope they produce a study first to see what rate would work, as if they go in at 20% over $50,000 then you can say buy to many jobs.
Why is this being discussed in parliament? Yes condolences can be offered but the rest should be left up to the police and then the courts. Once that is done then it can be discussed.
Umm how do you think those hotels will pay for the test. They don't have a magic money tree. And yes of course all that money saved would not be given out in salary or bonus but some of it will
Yay Emergency Protocol that needed to be renewed every few months is gone. To be replaced by a law which apart from Curfew is the same as Emergency Protocol. But this law does not need to be renewed. Great news!!!!
Nothing will change as our politicians never have the balls to make the changes necessary. As concerned said sell BPL, also sell Bahamasair. In fact sell everything Government has no need to be in. Then reduce Cabinet to 10 people max, and reduce most civil service as well. Then if that doesn't work we can start talking about taxing more. But don't tax more without doing other things.
And yet they are basically mandating that you need to be vaccinated for Bahamians. All the new health law talks about is you must be vaccinated to do anything.
