Dawes says...

Maybe because no government has invested in the healthcare facilities, PLP in particular. Unless you include clearing land in Eleuthera as doing so?

Well its good to know that BPL can fire 60 % and everything operates as normal (we have power cuts when those 60% are 'working') Perhaps they should do just that and then reinvest the money saved into better equipment.

America brought its deaths close to 0 with the vaccine and the protocols in place. now they have relaxed the protocols the numbers have gone up. In the last wave when the infections were the same number as now they were averaging over 800 deaths a day, now it is nearer to 300. So thats 500 a day alive now.

Dawes says...

Another no bid situation where the powers that be try to justify it, because it was all approved by the powers that be. They came in saying they wouldn't be corrupt but that's a joke. Both main parties are the same, and the actors in the background pulling strings are the same.

Dawes says...

Our population is about 400,000, 0.06% is 240 so we are already there and going above it

Dawes says...

People don't trust the leaders as they change what they say all the time. Wells has said we should be at herd immunity and we are no where near, Minnis said those vaccinated are out (not true) of the pandemic, and yet is bringing back more measures on them. The leadership says what they think people want to hear at that time (and it s always rosy) but never think what may happen in the next day let alone week. This always makes them seem uncredible and therefore untrustworthy.

Dawes says...

Thats of the total population, not of those who got it. If we say 50,000 have had it then it is 0.5%, so over the entire population its 2,000. Note if we use the official number of those who had it (yes we all know this is under counting), then the % would be around 2%, so for the entire population 8,000 (yes very basic assumptions being made but that 0.06% number is only going to go up).

Dawes says...

Another failure of Government, and yet we going to vote in another party that we know will fail, just because it isn't this one.

Dawes says...

I still think we should drop all restrictions and let it rip. Let those who want to be vaccinated get vaccinated and those that don't don't. Studies in countries with large vaccinations have consistently shown that there is less of a chance of getting Covid if vaccinated and even less of a chance of going to hospital, and even less of a chance of dying. So yes people will get it , go to hospital and die, but in much lower numbers then if they weren't vaccinated. So let it RIP and see what happens, its only a 1-2% death rate anyway.

I take it you don't live here. Except for the cruise ships not coming the rest are.
