Waiting to hear what happens when those mere 2600 people try to actually see a doctor. With only 60 doctors in total registered, that's already 43 patients per doctor.
hallmark, in 2012 the DNA split the vote for those who would likely have otherwise voted for the FNM, thus allowing the PLP to win the election NOT on the majority of votes, but because the vote was split by those voting DNA. This is why a vote for the DNA is a vote for the PLP..
The only question you need ask yourself is if you want another 5 years of the PLP. If the answer is "yes", then you know what to do. If it's "no", then you have to vote FNM -- no matter how galling the option may be, but it has to be a better option than the one we've been suffering under since 2012. Empty broken promises with lots of unaccounted for money...your choice!
Birdie, you truly are wearing rose coloured glasses. The reason Mr. Izmirlian could not pay his loan was because the Chinese stopped working and walked off the job after deliberately delaying the openings, and also likely conspired with the PLP to force him out. Now we're starting to see why -- in the shocking (well, not really shocking) e-mails of a sitting MP Jerome Fitzgerald soliciting contracts for himself and his family (against the law, by the way) and I have a feeling we ain't seen nothing yet. Bring on that FOIA and let's see the depths of the corruption and cronyism.
May 10th can't come soon enough. Then we get get about prosecuting and jailing these crooked politicians. We're going to need a bigger prison to hold them all!
'More Than A Dream Come True' --- Not for Sarkis Izmirlian after the PLP and the Chinese pushed him out. Now Perry Christie is taking full credit for the opening. A fake opening at that!
Resign, Mr. Fitzgerald. Or fire him, Mr Christie. He's been caught with his pants around his ankles -- maybe time to prosecute these crooked politicians.
Folks, just think -- this is the very tip of the iceberg. I don't think we've even seen the scope of the corruption and thievery by the PLP and their cronies. They all need to be held accountable and prosecuted for crimes against the Bahamian people.
I actually hope the dump is still blazing and the smoke plumes are directly in the path of the big Baha Mar opening party on Friday. Maybe the Chinese will complain about it -- Perry seems to listen to them more than the Bahamian people.
Yes, Mr. Davis, we understand that you will "open on your own terms", but it's not an unreasonable question to ask -- when are you actually opening? April 22nd? What happens after the big PLP rally party, oh sorry, the "soft" opening on April 21? Big party, then everyone goes home? So, when are you prepared to state the actual date the resort will be open for PAYING guests?
Besides, the casino license hearing only took place today -- 21 days before you say you are OPEN! So you can surely understand why there may be critics?
For people who claim to have the answer -- there are few answers being given.
When will these union leaders realize that people will only have jobs if the businesses are there and able to do business. The hard reality is that a business exists to make money. When the bottom line is compromised by idiotic regulations and red tape that hamstring the employer's ability to do business, then they close down. Simple as that. These unions and the PLP government seem to think businesses are charities that OWE Bahamians jobs.
