Something isn't adding up. You're telling me that a woman was taken to a cay off Paradise Island, raped, then got back on the jet ski with the operator to go back to Cabbage Beach? Why in hell would she ever get back on a jet ski with this man? How did she know he would even take her back to Cabbage Beach and not drown her somewhere?

Personally, I'd like to see the whole jet ski industry shut down. They've made it clear they are not capable of operating safely and professionally. And the last time government got involved, it was no more than lip service to appease the US Embassy. Time to shut them down before someone gets killed. .

Get rid of Bahamas Air. Either shut it down or sell it to Caribbean Airways. As it stands now, it's a money pit and social services agency to keep people employed while draining the public purse. It's time for it to go.

If the government is adamant about using it for international routes, then it must change the name. Bahamas Air currently enjoys the dubious distinction of being among the 25 WORST airlines in the world. Definitely going to need some serious rebranding and marketing, to say nothing of finances.

I totally agree with a previous post that asked if the average US or Canadian traveller is going to fly Delta or Okidoki Airways. Even as a Bahamian, I'd choose Delta every time!

Waiting to hear what happens when those mere 2600 people try to actually see a doctor. With only 60 doctors in total registered, that's already 43 patients per doctor.

On 2,600 enrol in NHI in two days

hallmark, in 2012 the DNA split the vote for those who would likely have otherwise voted for the FNM, thus allowing the PLP to win the election NOT on the majority of votes, but because the vote was split by those voting DNA. This is why a vote for the DNA is a vote for the PLP..

The only question you need ask yourself is if you want another 5 years of the PLP. If the answer is "yes", then you know what to do. If it's "no", then you have to vote FNM -- no matter how galling the option may be, but it has to be a better option than the one we've been suffering under since 2012. Empty broken promises with lots of unaccounted for money...your choice!

Birdie, you truly are wearing rose coloured glasses. The reason Mr. Izmirlian could not pay his loan was because the Chinese stopped working and walked off the job after deliberately delaying the openings, and also likely conspired with the PLP to force him out. Now we're starting to see why -- in the shocking (well, not really shocking) e-mails of a sitting MP Jerome Fitzgerald soliciting contracts for himself and his family (against the law, by the way) and I have a feeling we ain't seen nothing yet. Bring on that FOIA and let's see the depths of the corruption and cronyism.

May 10th can't come soon enough. Then we get get about prosecuting and jailing these crooked politicians. We're going to need a bigger prison to hold them all!

DillyTree says...

'More Than A Dream Come True' --- Not for Sarkis Izmirlian after the PLP and the Chinese pushed him out. Now Perry Christie is taking full credit for the opening. A fake opening at that!

I can't wait for May 10th!

DillyTree says...

Hopefully, the new government that defeats the PLP on May 10.

DillyTree says...

Resign, Mr. Fitzgerald. Or fire him, Mr Christie. He's been caught with his pants around his ankles -- maybe time to prosecute these crooked politicians.

DillyTree says...

Folks, just think -- this is the very tip of the iceberg. I don't think we've even seen the scope of the corruption and thievery by the PLP and their cronies. They all need to be held accountable and prosecuted for crimes against the Bahamian people.

DillyTree says...

Again!?!

I actually hope the dump is still blazing and the smoke plumes are directly in the path of the big Baha Mar opening party on Friday. Maybe the Chinese will complain about it -- Perry seems to listen to them more than the Bahamian people.
