I just don't know how these guys walk around everyday. They balls got to be so damned big to stand there and lie to us when we know they lying/covering up on SOOO many issues. Then, they want to force VAT down our throats and threaten with ridiculous punishment if we don't give them more of OUR hard earned money. Man, they balls got to be so big they drag behind 'em! How dare they, our Stealing, Lying, Law Breaking Public Servants threaten us to give them more our our hard earned money. They are one big joe, they can't be serious!
He's only playing dummy on this to hide the fact that he and his cronies are robbing hard working Bahamians at opportunity. He could be the smartest person in the world but if the heart is crooked, he cannot be trusted.
They are only good at one thing, taking what is not theirs and then making the public believe it is for the best of the country. Well, not me!
A sadder point is that he has children that he is teaching his crooked & nasty ways to. Shame!
Good Morning! Today is the the day to wake up bahamas! i see this man's words and I am insulted to know he is still making decisions at BOB. Professional thieves, the bunch of 'em! Rob us blind and put some words together to make the general public believe it's just ok, it's just us big boys doing what needs to be done. His comment “It’s been hard, but it’s all part of the game. It’s unfortunate we get thrown into politics, but all businesses lose money from time to time.” is ridiculous. Yes all companies makes losses from time to time but with such incredible losses and extreme mismanagement someone gets FIRED and they shut his trap from continuing to spill lies! not all of us are stupid! Now it seems that BOB and numbers boys will be joining forces, this would of course, make BOB very profitable (again for the same crooks). Nothing against numbers boys, they've done a great job of taking advantage of the system that allowed it. Our elected officials have not protected us, have gone against our wishes on gambling and we can only wait to see what other self serving deal they will make, while we sit back. Go to work, come home and work some more, enjoy your family, go fishing, play with the dog...go ahead, ignore what gov't is doing and all of the simple pleasures you though were yours, will slowly be taken away as this country falls further and further into a Damaged, Crime ridden country you never imagined possible in your lifetime.
Sad to point out but while friends and family living abroad were looking forward to spending Chrismas with us in the Bahamas, we have advised them that we will instead join them in the US. We've let them know how dangerous it is to visit here. I will not hide it from them, why would I bring my loved ones back here? I'll take them some pepper sauce, pepper jelly, homemade bread, lobster tails and other seafood, they won't miss a thing (except of course for our beautiful waters)! There is nothing for anyone here anymore. All that is left is a people resigned to be governed by this poor excuse for a government. At most it is a sad, sick circus!
Most embarrassing to our Culture is this Vulgarity they are trying to bring on with this Bahamas Carnival. The costumes are a disgrace and not acceptable, what are we now whores? Where/how is the glory of Junkanoo going to be depicted, on their @SS cheeks? The costumes I saw, looked like they were made for pole dancing.
They are disgracing us at every level. Everytime i sit and ponder a new issue, there is more. It makes my head and heart hurt.
Only if we rise up from playing dead and voice our concerns consistently and in large numbers will we even have a chance at changing business as usual. It is so very discouraging when I speak with people about these serious issues and generally what i get back is "i don't care because i can't change it" or "that's how it is, it's not going to change". Tomorow at 7:00pm is the Anti-Crime Rally at Queens College, I wonder if anyone will show up? When these Shameless MInisters and other Public Servants are up there spitting out their lies at us, why don't we ask them the tough questions? Though, I do understand the fear of being vitimized, and shut down if you dare speak up against how they are handling our business. When will enough be enough? Ignoring the problems will not make them go away, something i learned early on in life as taught by my parents. You face your issues and you can make your situation better. Never give up.
Whichever gov't wins the next election, let us make it a demand that getting a working FOIA be the first thing on the agenda. Yes, only a small step. A small step towards forcing our Civil Servants to be accountable for decisions made in running the country. Be they FNM or PLP, corruption has to be drawn out from our own parties if we can ever hope for a better country. This beautiful Bahamas needs a fresh start but it starts with YOU and I holding them accountable even when it's the very own party we voted for that has done wrong. My Lord, our children deserve a better Bahamas!
Every week we learn of another grand scewup by these idiots. The level of corruption and its acceptance by the Bahamian public is truly sickening. Truly sad. Right in front of our own eyes, they are sucking this Bahamaland dry. It hurts to see it happening and know that no one will do anything about it. BEC disgrace,Wells LOI issue, Customs corruption, PMH dysfunction, No FOI, Missing $$ at every turn, Crime is out of control and so many other issues too numerous to count. No one will be held accountable for this BOB mess or anything else, as history has shown us. We need to see people be **held accountable** for their wrongdoings, be they PLP or FNM, family or not. To get this country on track, we need to start with getting our morals and values right. If we the citizens do not demand better of our politicians, they will continue to suck us dry - greedy vampires! Everything in the hands of our government is a failure! Now they are threatening us that we MUST pay VAT! We know full well what will happen with those funds. We don't TRUST our government(s)! While we count our coins to live day to day, hoping for a better life one day, politicians bank accounts will continue to grow with our money. No wonder they always smilin!
