When you don't give answers it is clear that you have much to hide.

What you suspect is true or they would answer the question.

The amount of money that the government has wasted in all these cases is amazing. I have heard that they are told that they can't win and then spend the time dragging it out which cost more money when they finally lose.

I guess they don't care as it is our money they are wasting.

When they lose we the people have to pay much of the winning sides costs.

They must have spent 0ne or two million on cases they caused by not following the law.

A government that does not follow the law must expect corruption and high crime by its citizens though as they have set the example.

He is absolutely correct.

This new law, as proposed is certain to create more unemployment and more crime and poverty.

Economist says...

Emmm.....the governments track record in the Courts on how government interprets the law has been on of total loss.....so I have my doubts about the Directors ability to interpret the law correctly.

The Politicians hope that they will get re-elected by doing this. They don't care if the Country goes bankrupt, as long as they have been re-elected.

Economist says...

It says "in his capacity as Minister for Crown Lands" that he has to pay.

That means that he has wasted the Bahamian peoples hard earned money defending Nygard.

Yup, our money to defend a foreign citizen who is a Billion air.

No wonder the Country is going broke.

The private sector owns and operates the landfill in Freeport. The government owns and operates the landfill in Nassau. The difference is like night and day.

No, 50 years of fires proves that Bahamians should have no confidence in the government to solve the landfill fire issue.

Rev, I believe in myself to know the difference between competence and incompetence.

Am I confident that Bahamians can solve the problem? Yes, those in the private sector.

I have no confidence in the government to solve the problem.

The Chamber Chief has said nothing of consequence. So has the Government agreed anything with him? Strikes me that he is out of his depth.

Economist says...

This is a truly dumb piece of legislation. It will hold Freeport back.

There is now a form of double taxation that is very unfair, especially to the Second Home owners.

Economist says...

Why is our government signing a Heads of Agreement? When they say that the cruise line is going to invest $150 million, how much of that is going to stay here.

What it does give the government are less independent Bahamian business persons and more lowly paid workers who will be more reliant on the government.

In other words people who can be intimidated and controlled.

The government is not concerned about bettering the Bahamian economy or the lives of the Bahamian people.
