And you also believe that Trump won the last election correct? All those electronic vote machines, right? Even though the paper count showed differently.

For onec I must agree with Birdie.

Only one of the three hotels is open. They can easily have enough room for more than double the capicity currently available at the Susan J. Wallace Centre.

No one in government is thinking. They must all have got the COVID foggy brain.

The Iceland article shows that the vaccination appears to reduce the effect of the virus but not the spread.

I also note that they are talking about an additional shot for those who got the J&J vaccine.

Economist says...

Thank you, great articles. Clearly shows that the vaccinated must also continue to wear masks and get tested to stop the spread.

Economist says...

Thank you, a most informative article. Gives us much to think about.

Please send the link to the Lancet or one of those peer reviewed publications that state that vaccinated persons are the problem for the spreading as you are implying.

He is referring to those who have been admitted. If you take 100 people with COVID 19, who have been admitted to hospital, you will find that 95 have not been vaccinated and 5 have.

He is not referring to the general population as you claim.

Bottom line is that if you get COVID and are unvaccinated you are much more likely to end up in hospital than the vaccinated. That's all.

Economist says...

" Had this been in The Bahamas, the media would have accused Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison of mismanaging the COVID-19 crisis"

He is being accused of mismanagement in his own country. They had a very poor rollout of their vaccination program.

"As of now, around 90 percent of all residents over age 16 have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine".
The science says that one shot only gives about 30% protection against the Delta Variant. You need two shots and then it is only 60 to 80 % effective.

Look at the UK rates where the number of cases is almost as many as it was at it worst a few months ago BUT look at the number dying. Was up to 1200 a day whereas it has not breached 100 a day.

That means that the vaccinations are effective.

Economist says...

It sounds like you are suggesting that we go to drastic lockdowns to stop the spred.
