They have no opening in sight because the China Export Bank won't write of $1 Billion.
Scotia has written off $200 million and the ball is in the Chinese court.

The Government has turned what was already a mess into a quagmire that will take a considerable amount of time to get out of.

We would have been much better off if the government had stayed out of it.

Economist says...

Yes, but will they all be Chinese workers or will Bahamians get the lion's share?

Economist says...

If they elect Loretta Butler-Turner the FNM might find things improved. No one wants to support Minnis.

Economist says...

Babak is a dark cloud over the Port Area.

Minister Mitchel, this is a man that has done more harm to this Country than anybody you have kicked out so far.

Sure the Memories manager was rude and hurt some feelings. Babak got many Bahamians to invest in his loosing businesses and they have lost it all. Babak has hurt thousands of Bahamians.

So Minister, Babak is truly "undesirable".

Economist says...

It is with all sincerity that I hope that you succeed Minister but I won't hold my breath.

None of what you have told the press in the report above is good enough to save The Bahamas so you have got to do better than that.

You are not talking to one of your core voters, these guys have more than a D average.

They have down graded much larger countries. The Greeks tried to stop them as well, without success.

Economist says...

Birdie, unless I am mistaken, her father was not a politician. Her grandfather was a PLP and so if you are referring to a politician Butler you are referring to the PLP. In case you have not noticed, she is not a PLP.

Economist says...

Mrs. Butler-Turner is showing that she is the real Leader of the Opposition.

Economist says...

FNM under Dr.Minnis is doomed.

Economist says...

Sounds like nothing will be done so the massive losses can continue. Certainly through 2017 election.
