we need to be able to test significantly more. Early on (April) The Bahamas had the opportunity to purchase (at cost) 45,000 tests from Cayman. They had 100,000 for sale as they had purchased 200,000 from South Korea of the "gold standard" tests.

Bermuda bought 35,000 and Barbados purchased 20,000. The Bahamas, under the direction of Dr Dahl Regis, decided that they were too expensive.

You can fly from Cayman, Bermuda and Barbados to Europe and not have to quarantine but if you fly from The Bahams you must quarantine.

Today Barbados has 7 active cases, Bermuda 4 and Cayman 1.

Wonder where the Europeans are going for their vacation? Not The Bahamas for sure.

Congratulations Mr. Sands. You and your crew deserve a great deal of praise. You have managed to do all of this through a pandemic as well.

Those in the GBPA could learn a thing or two from you.

Great job!

Looking forward to an ice cold Sands.

What on-going management?
The charitable organizations came in and are still here. They are the ones who are doing the work. The Gort was contacted by them for permission to come here.
Then the families try to make it look like they are doing it.
They did not bring Carnival. Carnival asked to come here. It just fell into the Ports lap. Again the families have done nothing.

Economist says...

You confuse yourself. The Famliies are not what Edward St. George and Jack Hayward were. They have done nothing in 15 years and that is why the GB economy is doing so badly.

They are out for themselves. "My island". Means "You people"

They and their entire usless management team (yes people) need to go.

It is only when they are taken out of the picture completely will Grand Bahama be able to preform.

Many of the charter air line provided services after the hurricanes and there are other airlines like Pinapple Air, Cat Island Air and Western Air who can fill the gap. They will, no doubt, employ some of the Bahamasair staff as their businesses expand.
Unlike Bahamasair they pay taxes and have not run up over $700-750 million of debt which we the taxpayer are paying interest so it probably costs more than $100,000 per employee now.

The gym that I attend was very careful and made sure that

social distancing was observed,
equipment was wiped off before and after use,
everyone had to have a full length towel,
temperatures were checked on arrival each day,
hand wash stations were in place
long pants and sleves were required.

I don't understand why the PM is being so difficult about gyms.
