I traveled through the airport on a number of occasions during this period.
It is clear that, compared to other airports around the world, our Traffic Controllers are limited to a smaller number of movements per hour. This maybe a result of poor equipment, poor training, not enough controllers or just plain incompetence.
The long waits between takeoffs and landings were very noticeable. Very inefficient use of the facility.
Much of WTO is already in place. The last two governments have been passing legislation and making regulatory changes. VAT, Customs Management Act, Fiscal Responsibilities, Standards Commission, Food Safety legislation etc.
WTO is bring us to standards recognized throughout the world.
In the past I have been told that the plane is delayed because of weather in Miami. Went and checked the weather online at Miami and looked at the weather radar. Nothing in sight and nothing in the one hour before radar loop.
Bahamasair does not tell the truth and there is no force majeure. Nothing to do with safety either.
I now don't fly Bahamasair if I have an option of another airline.
Prime Ministere, "**please shut bahamasair down and save the bahamian people $30 million a year.**"
Much money can be saved by ridding us of a bloated and inefficient Civil Service.
The Civil Service has the country in shackles; draining us of our cash and holding back various approvals that business needs to be able to expand and hire more persons.
When "all" the By Street shops had the opportunity to break the individual cruise ship payment scheme they did not. Many of the small shops said that it was working fine for them.
Serves the small shop owners right. They like to be divided and so as the saying goes, "divided we fall".

Maybe they should. The Grand Bahama Port Authority has been a very poor regulator.
There is no transparency in anything the GBPA does.
What about the water rates? URCA needs to go after that as well.
No transparency.
