Until the immigration policy is liberalized to be able to compete with other places of investment, there won't be much of a tech centre.
Those who come here bring connections and that brings more investment. Those who are her require services, food stores and so on thus creating opportunities for Bahamians to set up businesses and with it all job creation.
These bills and those false power bills and let us not forget the fictitious National Debt.
I am sure you would agree that with such fine honest, hard working, upstanding persons who made up the former government cabinet must have obliterated the National Debt and the people who made up the $7 Billion figure should be made to suffer for their actions.
The Taxi drivers have been quite happy to continue operating the way they have for decades. Now some one is going to try to fix their lack of initiative and entrepreneurial skills because of the chaos that exists, they are complaining.
This is typical of the "all for me baby" "the world owes me a living" attitude of the taxi drivers.
Under the PLP the Attorney Generals staff(I was told by some of them) would prepare writs for people who owed Real Property tax and then when the names got to Cabinet (the same one Mr. Roker was in) the order came down not to proceed further.
This had been going on for several decades the Pindling government.

Birdie, it is people with attitudes like you and McAlpine who are responsible for the unemployment in The Bahamas.
You and McAlpine are why good hard working Bahamians can't get a good job in their own country.
It is called attitude. It is your type of poisonous attitude that is killing this country. You are killing it culturally and economically.

The idea is to keep Bahamians down. A subservient Bahamian will always have to go to the politician. This way the politicians remain in control.
