This man is so full of it. There is nothing, absolutely nothing evidence based about the Incentives Act. The PLP was and is still hell bent on destroying Freeport's economy and The Bahamian economy. This Act makes no sense at all. Maybe Hutchison and the Port Authority greased the wheels so as not to pay millions in tax.
The sooner the Act is repealed the better for all.
If proper maintenance and a proper replacement program was in place this would not have occurred. There have been more of these disruptions in the last 12 months than normal. The new Government should cause an investigation to be made.
Be assured that this is the standard PLP response which is to try to villify whoever shows the PLP up by doing something good or to deflect the attention from something that the PLP is not doing or ought not be doing.
Get used to it as it will be going on for the next five years.
The secret is to ignore it politely. They can't stand that.
