Alas, we continue to elect leaders who do not have the guts to get rid of incompetent public servants/ill-placed advisors ,even after these people allow everything under their supervision to go amuck to the detriment of the country. We continue to elect leaders who insist on putting their friends, some of whom are old fogies, in key positions. We continue to elect leaders who rob the country blind while its citizens stand by do absolutely nothing. We continue to dress up in these dam red and yellow themed clothing every election and party like the past five years were something to celebrate.
As Einstein puts it, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." This simply means that the majority of Bahamians belong in an asylum! Lest we forget, Papa Doc did the same thing to Haiti many years ago. The Haiti we see today is the results of thieving leaders. Is that where the Bahamas is heading?
Well you certainly started out on the right foot when you admitted that Haiti has a lot to do with the problem at hand. Maybe one day Haiti will be on top as you mentioned. Only God himself knows what the future holds. I too would love for Bahamians and Haitians to be at peace with each other. Bahamians are not the enemy though. They are and have been the good Samaritan. But I still detect a little resentment in your dialogue-Cause you go on to describe how the Dominican flag resembles that of the Haitian flag and how they got their independence through Haiti and not Spain. All of this is irrelevant. The first step in overcoming this problem with people disliking Haitians is for y'all to come together as one and rebuild your country. I keeping hearing Haitians saying that they are proud of who they are. Great! Now rise above this mess, stop sneaking in other people's country and take care of your own. After all, God bless the child that has his own.
Sad to say, but I don't imagine these raids continuing on a consistent basis. I would bet my bottom dollar that someone from the top will soon interject sayin, "Now be careful Freddie boy. Ya don wan upset too much a dese people in the Haitian community, cause ya know we gon need dey votes." After which, the saga will continue...............

Mr Georges said: “Here you have people who are over the age of 18, who were born here, grew up here all their lives, who have applied already for naturalisation – the right way – and they are waiting on you (government), YOUR system is inefficient. Notice how these people who suppose to be Bahamians but are Haitian descendent distance themselves from the Bahamas when it comes to any issues with Haitians on a whole. He is not saying our system is inefficient. He is saying YOUR system is inefficient.
We fail to see the danger in a people who are so bold in their quest to get what they want by all means necessary. Now this chap is considering running in the next election. I always say, use this energy to build the place where you consider your roots to be. Mr. Georges does not consider his roots to be that of a Bahamian heritage. His love is for the Haitian heritage. Georges needs to be reminded that ya can't have your cake and eat it too. If I feel I am not wanted somewhere, I would simply move home, where I know I am welcomed and help build my country.
The Bahamas claims to be a 'Christian' nation that follows the teachings of the bible. So let's look at what the bible has to say about the situation of illegal immigrants:Scripture says, “Cursed be anyone who moves his neighbor's landmark” (Deuteronomy 27:17a). This meant that outsiders no more have the right to move a nation’s boundaries (by contempt for them or by seeking to eliminate them) than a thief does to move an individual’s property line. In other words, from a Christian prospective, whenever someone enters your country illegally, abuse and misuse your kindness, what do you do? Kick em to the curb. So if someone sneaks into a country 3am in the morning, then that person shouldn't have a problem being escorted out of the country 3am in the morning. Cut and dry!
The way these idiots are running this country if he does run in the next election, he will surely will win. Because we know which community votes in blocks!
