'Don't Like The Plp? Leave!' If that statement was directed at all Bahamians then this country would only have illegal Haitians left.

Simply go into the mud and the Pigeon Plum areas and demand to see the identification of every living soul in the area. It is common knowledge that Haitians will assist Haitians, whether is illegal or not. By the way, both the FNM and PLP are making me sick to the bones with their stance on this problem. If Bahamians don't rise and fight we're gonna find ourselves strangers in our own land!

My God!!! How could any PLP talk about taking advantage of vulnerable people? They have been taking advantage of the gullible ignorant population for years. Dam dred! At least be fair in your statement. On the other hand, I did comment about how the demonstrators didn't seem to look sincere in their quest for fighting for democracy in the Bahamas. We as Bahamians need to admit that we are not a people who like to come together as a force for anything that truly is important to us. Perhaps the last effective demonstration was the Burma Road Riot? Other than that, as the first prime minister once stated that we weren't together when we got off the slave ships and still aren't together even now. True words coming from the most corrupt former leader in the hemisphere.

More jobs for the PLP dumb ass followers! Besides, what has this man done since taking office anyway? When will the PLP population clueless prime minister shuffle his good for nothin' cabinet?

Emac says...

The looks on these people faces show that they don't give a shite about democracy. Besides, their leader needs to display some form of democracy in his own party by allowing a committee to elect him as leader instead of being self appointed. BTW, the majority of the people who I come in contact with on a daily basis claim that they are voting DNA no matter what.

A bi-election could be the best thing that can occur in the Bahamas since last election. The PLP knows that the people would vote against them in large numbers.

Great article! It is 100% accurate. What fascinates me is the people who are commenting here are probably the ones caught up in what this article references. To say that this type of issue is not just found locally but worldwide might be correct. But the Bahamas' way of doing it is far reaching and quite detrimental. The Bahamas has many 'bastards' running around wreaking havoc on society. These are the products of sweethearting. Unfortunately, talking about these types of issues is taboo in the Bahamas. It seems that secrecy is embedded in the very grain of our culture. One day we will wake up when this dream bubble bursts. Oh, and why do these so called religious leaders speak out on every other hot issue except the one thing that is so obvious everywhere in the Bahamas, sweet hearting?
