I endorse this team! I hear a lot of callers on Guardian radio calling these two, elitists/ Some even feel that LB or DS could never campaign in constituencies like Bain Town and Englerston. This attitude shown by the voting public speaks volumes as to their mindset on what is expected of our leaders and what is in their best interest. Maybe it is time for the voters in these constituencies to reexamine what they're looking for. If they are still looking for the $50 hand-outs and drunken parties leading up to elections to buy their votes, then they deserve to be living in the state that they are presently living in.

The last thing Bahamians should be looking for is a smart talking politician who simply pretend to be down to earth just to get votes. It is time to look for leaders who have managerial skills-Leaders who can create jobs, lower taxes and bring down our depth. So far, all the leaders that were lawyers by profession didn't even come close to doing this. It is time to vote for leaders who are willing to take on the issues and those who can bring results. Checking out the records of LBT, even a blind man can see that she possesses the qualities to propel this country forward. When you listen to Sands speak, it is obvious that he is a rationale thinker and he is a realist. This is exactly what the Bahamas needs at this time!.

Publius, thank you for your contributions to this forum. You are one of the few bloggers here of whom I bother to read the full comments. This is what we need in this country, people who base their arguments on facts and not emotions and or hearsay!

@viewermatters-You are absolutely right! These yay sayers with their hidden agendas sure do lambaste those who oppose. They must be reminded that everyone is entitled to his or her views on this matter, even if they don't think it is right!

What a bunch of horse shit!

Mrs. Clarke, as an educator, I can relate to your frustrations. It is quite distressing that the governments of the Bahamas fail to see the significance of the many contributions that teachers have made in molding the youth of our nation, You are not asking for free hand outs. You are simply demanding that you get what is owed to you. The most amazing thing about all of this is that you have these greedy politicians who steal tons of money from the treasury, who do nothing to build our society, They are not even deserving of their own salaries!

I respect your view.

@birdie- "I do not care what Rev Patterson has to say, he has one vote and so do I. I will vote No" So birdie are you now a schizo or do you just like to throw views out there to be deceitful??? Before you said the following. "I am voting Yes to #4 the other three no. It is my choice and my vote."

"utopia moment"??? See what I mean? We are so complacent or used to the way things are done in this country, that most of us believe that the whole idea of the Bahamas becoming a place of law and order is Utopic. Sorry, but you cannot have the same rights as first world nations without having the same strict policies that they have in place to ensure that these rights are enforced or adhered to. I think we are looking at this from two different angles. Perhaps when you do a research on all of the arranged marriages and other crooked deals that take place at the immigration department, then maybe you can appreciate what I am saying. The consequences of passing these bills without proper policies in place can be irreversible. Voting NO on these bills is reversible.
