@Cainn*-"but for you to use their grief to promote your xenophobic agenda is repulsive and shows you for the degenerate you are"* Get over your emotions. I stand by my comments. People like yourself are living in a bubble. I am not using anything to promote anything. This incident is horrific and should never have occurred. This gives us even more reason to examine the underlying causes that lead to such events. I am simply just looking at reality. Also, I think you missed the part where I said I have firsthand knowledge about what I am saying. The problem with the majority of Bahamians is that we live in denial about everything that goes on around us. But don't worry: Years from now when the situation gets out hand and this thing comes back to bite you on the ass, you will probably be the first person to blame the government, while scratching your head wondering how we got ourselves in this situation.
@birdie-"Bullard and Davilma should go to jail." And I say, so should the entire PLP cabinet. Do not pass go, just go straight to jail. But alas, we being the most backward country in the entire region celebrate when our government pulls off stunts like these. I have a new respect for places like Haiti and Jamaica. Call them corrupt as much as you want. They would never let their government get away with this kind of mess.
You would say that without examining the facts surrounding what I am saying. You people love to use the word "xenophobic" without even knowing the true meaning. I wouldn't even run on with you cause you know nothing about me. Trust me, I am far from xenophobic: I certainly do not hate foreigners. I embrace and celebrate all cultures. However, when a part of a country's culture is centered around violence and that violence spills over into the country that I and my family live in, then I have a problem. But whatever. None of what you are saying will change the fact that Haitians are volatile people. Again, I will say that I have proof and have seen with my own eyes how Haitian descendants destroy the very fabric of our society with their violent ways. I make no apologies for my statement, neither am I trying to be diplomatic about it. I live here, so don't expect for me to sit back and pretend that your people are saints, when they're not! Finally, please follow the report about who the perpetrators are for this crime and then get back to me.
People like John never fail to amaze me. They can be as intelligent as a lab rat, but they suddenly lose all sense of logic whenever there is a topic that touches their emotion. *"It is an assault on the sovereignity of this nation "* What an asinine statement. The duty of the forth estate, therefore, the news media, is to expose these types of underhand deals by governments that are supposed to be working for the people. But this shows me that Bahamians are the most ignorant breed of people on earth. They are so brainwashed by the man called Pindling that they still cannot get it their heads that they are the employer and the government is the employee. But whatever, the Bahamas has lost its *sovereignty* long time ago. Wake up!
You replied to my comments with the following: *"Why wait in others such as the Christian Council? Get off your arse and start the movement yourself if you feel so strongly about it"*
From your reply i can see that you are a part of the problem and that you have nothing to offer as far as resolving social problems in our nation. Your questioning my freedom of speech tells me that you too are complacent with the status quo. But since your username denotes FACTS, I see it fitting to list a few FACTS for you.
1. I am a private citizen-Therefore, I can bitch and complain as much as I like about anything or anyone in this suppose to be democratic country.
2. The Christian Council's mandate is to uphold the moral fabric of the Bahamas. That is their mandate, not mine. They are the ones who operate these lofty "houses of the Lord" that are supposed to be a place of refuge for lost souls. Their members are the ones who receive concessions and other goodies from the government,, based on the promise of them being an organization that helps with the betterment of society. All of the other civic groups are also duty bound to speak out against anything that is contrary in our country. That's the whole purpose of forming such an organization. While I belong to a voluntary group, it has nothing to do with any of the above problems. So I guess you are the one who needs to get off your lazy bum and do your research before mouthing off to something which you clearly have no knowledge.

I agree with Watcher and Weezie-The big question should NOT be what are the motives of those who brought these tapings forward. The real and dangerous outlook is what the tapes are revealing. What on God's earth is wrong with Bahamians??? Have they no shame or moral standards???!!!! Why isn't the Christian Council and other civic groups not forming major demonstrations and or radical movements to get this government toppled??? I could tell you why. Because this is the most corrupt nation in the region. And almost everyone is a part of the corruption or benefiting from it by some means. Christian nation my ass! We love to point fingers at our neighbours in the south. But they already know they are corrupt and at least they have mechanisms in place to deal with these corruptions. But here in the bahamas aka nation for sale, we are corrupt to the core and in the denial at the same time. That is very, very dangerous. It like being a very ignorant person and not knowing you are ignorant.
Simple solution Rollins, simply make your BEC receipts of payment public and shame Brad. if you can't do this then you are only blowing hot air and you are becoming a well rehearsed politician who just tries to wiggle out of situations by slick talks.
