It is very unfortunate that it has taken so long for the FNM to recognize that this person will always be an albatross around the neck, heart and integrity of the party. It is time for him to withdraw into his world of make believe. Just imagine he has been telling people that he is the Mandela of the Bahamas?

In Islam, these behaviors are appropriately dealt with. You can call that nonsense.

You are missing the point by reason of denying the fact that marital rape is initiated by the behavior of women.

This issue is very complex and complicated. If you want to have a law against “marital rape” , whatever that means, then let us take a look at the discussion of a law accepting extra marital affairs ( legally referred to as adultery ) as well as accepting polygamy.

As the review of the literature on sex and the empirical results on sex needs of the sexes show, a woman’s sex drive diminishes over time compared to the sex drive of a man. Before marriage women are quick to drop their panties and be willing to have sex with their husband to be. This willingness diminishes rapidly over time once the they have the ring. And that is why as they saying goes marriage has THREE rings. Two for the woman and one for the man. The woman gets the engagement ring and the wedding ring while the man gets the suffering.

On a serious level, what do you think motivates men having affairs outside of marriage and committing “adultery”? There is an extremely high inverse correlation between the driver of marital rape and adultery. If we want to stop marital rape we have examine our cultural norms regarding sex, marriage, adultery and polygamy. These need to be factored into the discussion.

In many societies where there is polygamy, there is no such thing as marital rape or adultery .

Women cannot have both their cake and eat it too. You either want to satisfy your husband’s sexual needs or permit him to have extra marital affairs or another wife or two.

The entire legal system I in the Bahamas must look at this issue from a cultural standpoint.

President Trump has declared this group as illegal and a DEI initiative. The PLP need to be careful and follow the Recent Executive Orders of President Trump or face the isolation and annexation of our nation.

And please don’t forget that marijuana is a gateway drug to fentanyl use. The empirical evidence shows this sad connection. And some politicians want to legalize this poison. Please put two and two together.

Rather than taking a conciliatory approach to cooling the industrial relations climate in the country, Obie prefers to use the threatening approach. He must know that this approach is one where he is going to be cutting off his nose to spite his face. Can he , for a second, put himself in the role of running the country? If he did, he would begin to understand how many other financial obligations this government faces. Those who complain about getting their overtime pay ought to be ashamed of themselves when there are so many people unemployed. They have a job, a guaranteed job and their bread is already buttered. Now they want the bread to be buttered on both sides. Obie must think about a more constructive way to creating a Win-Win industrial relations climate.

There is nothing unusual about the lack of response from the public in this matter. It is an accepted fact which is documented in the literature of social psychology that people will refrain from getting involved in these incidents. It is called Bystander Apathy.

Until and unless we clear up the corruption in our country where the big ones get away with theft then will individuals who are motivated to intervene will no longer be of the view that that they will be risking their lives.

Only a National Campaign on inculcating and reinforcing in the minds of our citizens that we are indeed the keepers of our brothers and sisters can stop this recalcitrant attitude.

This photo of Brave is looking like something to come. It looks like he is arrested and handcuffed. And being led into the lockups where he will eventually end up. Who does he think will believe his lie that the Americans have not yet released the name of the politician involved in this case ? They have released the other names but not the big guy. Please. Really. Come on.
