Our Prime Minister is second to no other Prime Minister when it comes to ethics, morality and education. All previous Prime Ministers were deficient on all of those parameters. Now we have a leader for the times and an icon for the nation. Say what they wish, we love you Prime Minister. We trust you. We know you will take us to the promised land of prosperity, democracy and decency. Thanks.
Now these are genuinely sincere and compassionate efforts by a concerned Government that reflect foresight, insight, prescient planning and a focus on the people from all sectors and strata of our nation.
Never has there ever been a Government in the Bahamas with such strategic thinking in response to disasters like hurricanes and the pandemic. When the history of this period is written it will be said that without the leadership of our Prime Minister and the presence of the FNM in power our nation would have sunk to the level of Haiti. God forbid that we would ever see Bahamians becoming illegal immigrants in the USA. My fear was that that would have happened and could very well happen under a corrupt PLP Government, destruction of our moral and ethical values notwithstanding.
Could someone please tell me what value is derived from smoking or eating marijuana? Absolutely nothing. What are the consequences from smoking marijuana? Wild unfulfillable illusions, hunger leading to gluttony, trances where individuals become spaced out zombies and the list continues. As I am urging try meditation and yoga, exercise and prayers. I bet you our nation will be transformed. Let’s give it a try.
Try meditation and exercise for your altered state of consciousness. Leave marijuana and alcohol, the twin destroyers, alone. Strengthen your faith in the Almighty and stop looking for excuses to destroy our youth.
I urge the Government to really reconsider legalizing this poison. Please have the testicular fortitude to say marijuana will continue to be illegal. Look at the health problems in our country caused by smoking marijuana. Obesity, violence, High Blood Pressure, BiPolar mental problems, female abuse and the list goes on. Look at the nation of Singapore. They are one of the world’s most competitive and productive nations and marijuana is illegal. There is no demand for this drug whatsoever. Compare Singapore to Jamaica and you will get my point.
It is Mr. Moultrie who is seeing an illusion. He is attempting to mammaguy Bahamians with a backhand political campaign launching. He is trying to make hay while the sun shines during his role as Speaker.
What is most unfortunate about his criticism of the Budget projections is that he has no understanding of macroeconomic intricacies and dynamics. He is clearly out of his scope of competence. He should try something else. His days as Speaker are numbered. So he should enjoy himself because it is later than he is willing to admit.
This is the essence of true leadership. Where would we be as a nation without this outstanding person. The Lord does not come but he sends. God bless you Prime Minister.
Wow. I used to think that Tribanon contradicted himself from day to day on different topics of newsworthiness. However, today he has graduated to contradicting himself on the same topic on the same day.
Earlier he chastised our Honorable Prime Minister on interfering with the rights of Bahamians to choose or not chose the Covid-19 vaccination and extols their freedom of choice. Great. In another column he criticizes the Honorable Prime Minister and his insightful members of the Cabinet for not taking action to close the fast food establishments because of his unproven assertion that they cause obesity.
So finally we understand Tribanon’s game plan: to be A Rat in the Hen House. By this I mean he comments on everything in order to fire up the readers of this newspaper. Wow. Good God. How low can one go.
