Death by a thousand cuts will **not** help this bankrupt Ponzi scheme. IMF have suggested all NIB benefit payments and obligations be phased out as quickly as possible and that NIB be transformed at the earliest possible time to an income tax regime with a minimum tax rate of 15%.
The fact that most Bahamians would rather earn zero interest on their bank deposits than invest in securities issued by The Bahamas government is really nothing more than a loud and clear message that they do not trust the wasteful and stealing ways of their corrupt government, especially the current Davis led PLP administration.
Meanwhile the entire membership of the BIA must be most disappointed (but possibly not at all surprised) that the very useless insurance commissioner (M. Turnquest-Fields) is allowing Mr. Bowe to do her job for her because she is so afraid of saying anything in public that might upset PM Davis as her paymaster.
Why do we still need to keep footing bills for a defense force with all of the rumours floating around in recent years that the last Christie-led PLP government signed in Beijing some kind of a special diplomatic agreement with the PRC, i.e., the CCP, whereby their military, better known as the PLA, would have access to all our air space and territorial waters for the next 30 years in exchange for, among other things, the defense of our country from other sovereign states, inclluding even the U.S. ?!
This is all nothing but contrived farcical legal hogwash between crooked elected officials and their crooked politically-connected friends in the U.S. and equally crooked elected officials and their equally crooked politically-connected friends in The Bahamas.
The overriding objective of the surrepitiously devious game being played out here is to allow all of the crooks, who wrongfully derived great financial benefit from the mega-millions of funds and digital assets stolen by SBF and his cohorts from clients and customers of FTX and its affiliated entities, to walk away scot-free from (and unjustly greatly enriched by) the serious crimes they committed, including SBF himself.
Why is this incompetent doofus still national security minister? Obviously PM Davis could not care any less about the rape count, including the many more violent marital rapings that go unreported each and every day.
