Thank you for this much needed information. While I know basic CPR, I have not had a refresher in creating one of these. If those nearby in the video, were family or friends, they may have been in shock. Another reason could have been fear of sickness. Either way I didn't watch the video to know what occurred. Such a tragedy and most unnecessary. Hopefully CPR courses will be taught in schools, clinics and other community centers free of charge.

Yet Pineapple Air and Southern Air are up and running. Their fuel fumes are horrible and there is a lot of shake, rattle and roll going on.

What do you mean by "move generators from the out islands if needed"? What you are now experiencing is something we have experienced in Eleuthera for decades. It has finally gotten better but just this week we have had multiple dips and outages. In fact, read my earlier post pertaining to surge suppressors and how my household items were fried.
Robbing Peter to pay Paul is not the solution. Unfortunately I am on the outside looking in and cannot give them suitable advice on what to do. I know that their business model is outdated and not working. I can only suggest upgrade the plant, purchase energy efficient and new equipment, hire trained staff, implement solar panels, even natural gas, but this right now is not working.

I have surge protectors and suppressants. I even had one placed in the main meter box and it was fried. I even rewired my entire house and ran an upgraded wire from the meter box to the circuit breaker and still there were problems. Come to find out, BPL had us wired wrong. They had to go on the pole and remove our wire from where it wasn't supposed to be. I am glad it was solved after numerous appliances frying and my house lighting up like it had a poltergeist.

I am glad that they are in one piece. There was no such incident today, yet my 12:30pm flight to Orlando on Bahamas Air, left after 3pm. I hope airlines realise their spiel about being "sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused," doesn't erase missed connections and pure aggravation.

I wholeheartedly agree with your comments.

This is rather nicely put together and very thought provoking. Your article shines a light (no pun intended) on the dire straights we are in. There is an expression that says, "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining!"
It is quite clear that successive governments feel that we are ignorant, and will accept any answer that we are given. Thank you for my people whom are blessed with wisdom and insight. Where do we go next though?

You came with the receipts. There are some sad truths that you have listed here.

Death is no laughing matter, but your comment was just too hilarious. Carry on.

On the family islands we have to place people in vehicles and transport them. You are taught to not move victims but where there is no nurse available and one doctor for 4 settlements, there is no choice.
This needs to be addressed immediately. We are in dire need of more doctors, nurses working in properly equipped clinics ( better yet build hospitals on the Family Islands), ambulances on the Family islands.
