It is a shame how quickly we forget. No wonder we keep making the same mistakes.

Just imagine the condition of family island roads. Here in Eleuthera, where numerous pipes have burst, they are dug up, filled in and left that way. Now the roads have pot holes and the fill used is often higher than the road.

**We have to have a clear path as to how Crown Land is allocated,” the ORG executive director told Tribune Business, pointing out that the deal with Oban Energies would again likely provoke concerns that the Government favours foreign developers over Bahamians when it comes to land availability and accessibility.**
If it makes you feel better, let me assure you that I personally had already felt that rich foreign developers were favoured over Bahamians. This current deal did not make me feel this way, as it was a long held perception. Also if the fiasco with Baha Mar and its original developer did not stop foreigners from investing here, this deal will not stop them either. In fact this deal may make foreigners realize we would give away away our mothers if it meant closing the deal.

Have a feasible Bahamian or local rate. Many persons from the Family Islands and even New Providence would like the opportunity to stay at these hotels. Unfortunately the prices are exorbitant. Let us try to attract our own people.

Inconvenience caused like water usually being off somewhere on this island? Or did they mean the inconvenience of highly chlorinated or rusty brown water? Seeking clarification please.

I agree ThisisOurs. I know persons from The United States that have sat in on meetings with our government. This particular hotel chain wants to operate in The Bahamas. I was told that our Government was giving the hotel every concession it asked for. At the end of the day it was more profitable for the chain than The Bahamas on every level. Yes we need the commerce, but at what cost? We need to let business sense and not emotions rule. We do not need another Grand Bahama where only the rich can thrive. Added to that not even rich Bahamians. This bill needs to be reviewed in details. The entry point is too low. We need to guaranty that qualified Bahamians will be hired.

This story really touches close to home. I have an eight year old son. I cannot even fathom the pain. Lord please comfort this family. I pray that this spirit of murder, retaliation and just lawlessness will be removed from this land. I hope if anyone saw something they will step forward. Do not shield these thugs. Somebody's good child took out two other people.

I was wondering the same thing. Why was his background even mentioned at the time? I guess it is their way of saying case closed or something. I hope they will make an attempt to solve this case as these murderers are really brazen.
