Yeah but it is the governments responsibility that the citizens can make a livable wage and can afford the basic needs in life. This government hasn't made it easier to live, less costly to live or increased the wage substantially in this country.
This would require the Government to change its whole economic structure to prevent Bahamian business from being overrun whilst allowing International workers equal employment to Bahamians. Taxes such as customs would have to change and income tax would have to be taken to make up the deficit.
The government of this new day isn't ready as they refuse to make the basic reforms of today, democratic, economic, and state.
I think moving towards working with the Caribbean is the right direction. However, it should be limited and done slowly. We'd be better trying to get treaties and agreements with Bermuda and TCI at the moment who are our Cultural, economic, Geographic neighbors. Because they are economies that are more balanced to ours.
Things like a Travel Free areas, Common Fishing Policy, Common Certification, freedom of study policy, and freedom of work with them would be useful but tame treaties to make.
Unfortunately, for us opening up to caricom completely without assurance and compensation would leave this country in a bad places and swamped with immigration without the ability to provide said immigrants with services.
If it was up to me Brave, the AG, Fred, Colby, and Alfred sears would be forced to resign. Brave would put his name in the record as this country shortest PM
If a comment by the leader of opposition of all people can prejudice the courts then its the courts that need the help.
AG when you get criticism you don't need to project it on towards others to try and cover the burn. Just say your working on it beforehand and nobody will be guessing if your doing your job.
To be honest women's organization cannot say the church has no right to offer opinions and be heard because they are some of the largest public organizations in the country with plenty of women in them. Yes, churches have women's groups.

Western Air is very right to protest considering they could be punished for no fault of theirs just because US airlines feel the economic pinch. Although I do consider the point strange that US airlines feel that Bahamian Airline can serve as Competition to them considering the Bahamas only has Bahamas Air & Western (flying to Florida only) whilst they cover every where else with Delta, American, United, Southwest, Frontier, Jet Blue, and Silver Airlines
Are we really in competition, If Bahamas and Western are to flight schedule capacity with limited planes available, and balancing Domestic & International flights. Nevertheless, we should lower prices for now to keep them happy but this serves as a clear sign that they fear loosing this airspace.
I hope the planners realize that those road weren't made for that type of traffic, there are not enough/close commercial venues to satisfy demand, furthermore the area lacks government services.
