While, I can laugh at the word metaphysically,(never knew existed) I must just must say that the government needs to be careful. We all saw what happened with the Sandals Carbon Monoxide Scandal. People started saying all types of things, they didn't know because they were being led on by the US media. So unless the government is really interested in being transparent, working hard, and actively communicated the facts to prevent any foreign media slander they need to drop the case.
I can see the US government & friends putting on the gloves for this already. I don't care personally if the democrats or republicans get frustrated with the proceedings but I understand what they are willing to do to get their way. I find it possibly elating that for once Bahamian law stands supreme and those that cheat us don't get to run to Delaware or New York. Although, considering the Baha Mar affair I have my doubts, although considering the publicity of the case that wouldn't be allowed to happen.
Some of these trips were necessary such as the COP27 trip. However, this government has gone overboard and lost the plot with unnecessary spending during an inflation crisis when we're currently trying to lower our deficit and pay of debt.
So sebas take the tax payer money and run. You know I'm quite tired of these number people that we didn't vote to have. Thankfully, our glorious leaders of the PLP knew better and gave us them anyway.
Huh, our government is as clueless as ever. You mean you tell me that they don't have a database of who enter and exit. It should just be easy as a search of a name.
Yeah but, the reason why the government can provide services is because someone through a Government tax or government SOE pays for it.
If a company benefitting from the port doesn't pay into government pockets then it is economically disvantagious for the government to provide services unless they were getting something in return that was irreplaceable.
Ok, but knowing this country and the slackness that's so wide spread nothing tangible might come of it. We'll forget and carry on normally by the morrow.
Once the global corporate tax comes into effect I will rejoice. But still the government will screw it up. Watch these cruise ship companies won't pay a dime.
If he is a fugitive like they say if he lands here he should be arrested. I'm sorry, seeing as the man committed the crimes in this country he should have served a sentence here first.
If the people decide that they will not pursue charges if he pays them that is on them. However, idk how a mass fraudulence can happen here and we don't hold the person responsible here.
