Wow this Politician 1 case keeps on giving and giving. Now we have alleged cases of conflict of interest, alleged unusual contracting of government responsibilities to private companies, and now an alleged & potential case of misleading the house.

Thanks to the good work of the Tribune we now know that the government seems to really have faith in Complete/Top Notch Construction. They must do a good job to get these refferals.

Bahamian's can't survive because, we are not willing to make the societal changes necessary and our political class frankly doesn't care to enact the correct solutions.

Like becoming a country that relies/establishes good public transit for people to get around. Instead everyone, has car which is expensive and unnecessary for an island our size. Just like if you pool ya money for gas, pooling ya money for transport on a whole is cheaper. Less cars equals less traffic and less wear & tear on our roads. Which means less potholes.

Secondly, there is no sense of wealth equality effort, that actually lower prices. Everything is a handout and no infrastructure is being built to provide for the poorest reasonably. A new hospital, school meals, and more services are great but if the average/poorer Bahamians are paying the same price as the wealthy it does nothing to lift us up economically.

Its no different to raising the minimum wage people will earn more but prices will shoot up because of inflation.

Lastly, Land use and planning in this country is atrocious, the island only has so much land and yet the last of the remaining bits of it sit behind the gate of 1/2 done gated communities that price out the average Bahamian. The gov does nothing to restrict foreigners from buying up the land, fencing it off, and leaving it empty, leaving Bahamians to struggle for an apartment. There limited rent controls and no effort being done on seizing derelict buildings from neglectful owners.

It isn't by accident we are at this point.

People seem more interested in hunting these DEA agents, than politician 1 & his cronies.

Tbh banning him form any financial agency is the perfect punishment. What is most concerning is the lack of accountability and answer's from people who are responsible in appointing these troublesome individuals

I don't understand the PM when he says that a National lottery will be a "slush fund", when they already charge taxes on gaming. It is the exact same concept, just cutting out a certain middleman. Furthermore, A National lottery doesn't stop Bahamian's in the gaming Industry.

Also what are the Church leaders even arguing about, Not a single-one of these parties are against gambling. The argument is whether gambling profit goes to private men or whether the state can get it's cut.
