We will see if everyone on the Council wears a dress very soon. It will be very telling if they fail to do what is necessary and get a new leader for the fnm stat.
Not shocked by the result one bit, Minnis and Co. were a complete disappointment. I don't know whether it was intentional arrogance, or whether he had nothing but lapdogs in his ears, but Minnis was completely delusional and out of touch with the Bahamian people. It seems to be the former judging by his decision to remain as Leader of the Opposition in the wake of a historic defeat.
You know that your government was a failure when you lose seats like Freetown, both Abaco's, N. Eleuthera, as an FNM government. My God, some of these seats have voted nothing but ubp/bdp/fnm. This defeat is on par, if not worse, than the PLP's landslide loss in 2017.
Being an FNM in 2021 is the same feeling as being a PLP in 2017. Only question is will the FNM reform and pick a suitable candidate to lead them into the next election, or double down on their stupidity ala PLP putting Brave as head of the party right after their landslide. We shall see.
Ingraham has more integrity in his big toe than what can currently be found in the entirety of the FNM right now. He knows full well that this current administration has no care for the principles of transparency and accountability that he strove so hard to create in the Bahamian government. I wouldn't expect him to back the PLP with red shirts.
You know that you have failed as an FNM government when you are about to lose both seats on Abaco out of all places. This panic-driven Johnny come lately vote buying scheme is not going to save the FNM there.
I have long said that the only solution to our political problems (besides scrapping our system entirely) is to simply have an election every year. It is the only time that anything ever gets done.
Less than a quarter of Bahamians are "vaccinated" (let me know when immunity is given), so of course the statistics are going to show as such. Israel is living proof that this vaccine (even under Ministry of Truth(1) definitions) is not a solution to this issue. Give it another 6 months, the goalposts will have moved to needing a fourth shot(2) to do anything relevant to modern life.
Hydroxychloroquine and zinc worked as a treatment. The media lied about it(3). I don't know anyone who used ivermectin (besides Joe Rogan), but based on the lies spread about hydroxychloroquine, I feel pretty confident that they are lying about that as well. My question is why the push on "vaccines" with no focus on treatments? It seems like a one-sided approach to me. For as often as Bahamian politicians lie to us (and so do ones in other parts of the world), it amazes me how some are ready to murder those with a hint of skepticism surrounding this whole affair. Delta was here for months, the Bahamian government and PAHO(4) lied through their teeth about it. Skepticism is warranted at this point.
I still have never received an answer to this question yet : why do we have to sign a liability waiver when receiving the "vaccine"? There is a legal definition for what world governments are doing to their citizens that do not want the shot(s) : duress(5).

I wouldn't rush to say that. Everyone said the same thing when the PLP put up Brave as leader in the aftermath of 2017. Give it another 5 years lol.
