Lol. Were the street vendors that were locked up and young boys fined for selling coconuts on the side of the road part part of that 87% conviction rate?

Typical government mentality, praise the conviction rate, yet go what, 0-2, on the big cases. Frank Smith and Shane Gibson say hello.

The very notion that Donald Trump beat countless GOP establishment candidates in the 2016 primaries refutes your theory. Nobody wants to support another Romney, Rubio, or Jeb after what Trump has done to revitalize and expand the GOP base. GOP is dead in the water for the foreseeable future unless they can manage to swing enough of the graveyard vote to prop them up.

Not sure why we have so many articles discussing the US here lately, too many Bahamians get caught up in the American news circus as far as I am concerned.

Warnock is a typical false prophet and worker of satan. No one can call themselves Christian and support the LGBT movement, bottom line. Anyone who claims otherwise is a heretic and worse than an unbeliever.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers - 2 Timothy 4 : 3

You know nothing of Christ to even be bold enough to assert that He is a communist. I am sure that He readily supported the mass persecution and killing of the millions of Orthodox Christians in the Soviet Union, or even the persecution of the Chinese Christians today under your interpretation of the scripture.

Please report any foreign police that you know to the Commissioner ASAP, Bahamian citizenship is required to be an officer (same with the RBDF).

If you are here to commercially fish our waters, you aren't an expat. We have enough unemployed, unskilled labour here as it is, we don't need any more to be quite frank. There are industries and positions that require citizenship to be a part of in the US and Canada as well (many are ones dealing with national security), no reason we can't have the same here. Yeah, the foreign attorney's hired by the government has been a sticking point with the Bar for a while now, and I agree with them. We have a massive excess of Bahamian attorneys here, no need to hire abroad for attorneys.

No one in their right mind will loan the government any more funding, there is a less than 1% chance of ever getting it paid back at this point.

Lol. No, I'm not Minnis. I understand the frustration and desire to get rid of him, but it is a legitimate question to ask who are we going to replace him with. Someone has to be Prime Minister (quite unfortunately).

I would agree with your prediction of a 1992/2017-esque landslide if the PLP didn't have Davis as leader. Literally anyone else, and they would be looking at around 30 seats +/-. With Davis being in charge though, there is still to much uncertainty IMO. The PLP didn't learn anything from the mistakes of 2007, and they sure haven't learned anything from 2017.

Guess we need to have foreign MPs, police, and even a foreign Prime Minister too....the lawyer who suckered these people out of money has no soul.

If the tourists go to the clinic, and there are no tests available, what are they supposed to do? Easy to talk about no compliance, harder to look at the reasons for why it is occurring.

FrustratedBusinessman says...

Absolutely correct, this will only piss on the smoldering ashes of the Bahamian tourism industry. The Bahamas is on course for a period of economic hardship not seen by 99.99% of Bahamians alive today.

To be replaced with who, Davis? Whether we like it or not, Minnis is the only sensible option on the ballot right now (which speaks volumes about the situation that our country faces).
