The guns are just the tools, the problem at hand is much larger and will likely never be fixed. In the impossible event that you could take away the guns, they would just kill themselves with knives, bottles, and rocks instead. The problem is our culture that encourages failure, rewards mediocrity, and produces violence.
No. They love to lockdown everyone else while they get their shits and giggles from being able to do whatever they want without regard for the very rules that they make.
Lol. Trying to address the garbage educational results of today is the equivalent of closing the barn door after the horses have left. Does anyone really think that it got this way overnight?
The problem is not the educational system. The BGCSEs are touted as O-level equivalents, but they are so watered down that an imbecile should be able to pull 5 C's at the very least. The problem is the students, something what nobody has the balls to say. You can lead a horse to water, but can't make him drink. Most students just don't want to do any better, it is the result of this nation's shitty culture.
Please...spare me the tears. Where was the outrage when BLM were rioting, looting, and burning entire city blocks down over several months during the summer. Remember Portland? It is so sad to see the Bahamian media pushing the left-wing agenda in the past few months, do you really think that red team or blue team makes a difference? The peasants will kill themselves fighting for in the name of Trump or Biden (or whoever else), while both will eat caviar and drink champagne laughing at the fools willing to die for them. America has had a show democracy for quite some time now, nothing but theatrics. The whole system needs to be overhauled.
As for the death penalty, why not? Makes a lot more sense than paying for a lifetime of meals for a two or three time murderer/rapist. The question is moot considering that the Pricy Council will overturn the sentence regardless. The crime situation in the Bahamas is never going to get better. Any sense of civilized culture or society was destroyed when Pindling let the Escobars and rest of the Colombian drug cartels destroy our nation's culture and tradition with cocaine and the money associated with it. Crazy to think that you used to be able to leave your doors unlocked at night in Nassau. It is a hopeless case trying to ever address the crime situation as the culture is unlikely to ever improve.
If you love them so much Mr. Smith, there are a couple thousand located in the Farm Road shantytown on Abaco that I am sure you could house in your Lyford Cay estate.
This government has no balls, this shantytown would not remain standing if I were PM. I couldn't care less about an injunction order issued from some moronic judge, this shantytown would have been bulldozed to the ground. What is she going to make me do, put the tin cans back up?
The whole judiciary branch needs a complete cleansing of political appointees. As a matter of fact, the entire legislative branch needs to be cleansed as well.
I want to see how the Department of Works treats Bahamians who build without work permits on property that they do not own. Good on the Androsians who decided to squat; if the Haitians can live here without paying for land, why should Bahamians?
