Mrs. Bernard has so eloquently presented her case in this wonderful tribute. I congratulate her for the acknowledement of The Best Prime Minister this country has ever seen. There was a country song many years ago which went something like this: "you don't know what you got until you till you lose it" i wonder how long it will be before we realize what we HAD in a Prime Minister compared to what we currently have. Thank you "Delivery Boy" for what you delivered to us Bahamians.
I strongly beg to differ with Dame Marguerite Pindling on Sir Cecil choosing Mr. Christie as a successor because I was in an office in Freeport along with several others a couple days after the 87 election was stolen from us when the decision was made that Mr. Ingraham would join the FNM and become leader at the appropriate time.
We then flew Mr. Ingraham to Walkers Cay from which he took a boat to Grand Cay to discuss this decison with his supporters.
PLEASE, someone tell Mr. McCartney that he needs to get elected before he can be Prime Minister. I will wager that for any of the current crop of DNA candidates to see the inside of the House of Assembly that they will have to do so by sitting in the visitors gallery. He was an unknown prior to 2007 when Mr. Ingraham took him into a FNM stronghold and got him elected and he will be an has been after May 7th. Remember what happende to Tennyson Wells, you too shall fail.
