would have been a good opportunity for the judiciary to make some money. Put her out on 2 Mio bail and let her go. Don't worry the Australians would have picked her up. Instead, we are wasting our courts precious time with a domestic dispute, that I bet involved drugs, money, sex.

"Pm Has Us Report On Nsa Interception Of Phone Calls", and he will make an announcement shortly. I mean the announcement is to be expected any day, once he is back from his next trip to China, and walking his dog.

The only reason why most politicians are in politics in the Bahamas, is because they don't have skills that would land them any kind of other job.

ha, a dog is a dog and stays a dog, even if he tries to look like a cat. The things is and that is the sentiment throughout, all these politicians are abusing their powers, both when the they are in charge and if they are in the opposition. I do believe however it is a good thing, when they go at it each other. I am cheering for both parties and all players. Only this way, we have a chance dry up the swamp. I believe there are lots of people with an intact ethical and moral compass in the Bahamas. But it is too early for these people to turn up. Lets burn down Rome before we rebuild it.

People destroy their own reputation, they can not blame other people of "destroying them". if you lay with dogs you wake up with fleas. At the end of the day it does not matter, who turns the light on in this sh** house, as long it is done.

Cobalt, you are wrong. The sole purpose of a bank in the Bahamas is to pay fat salaries to Bahamians, lose the shareholders money and give loans to political cronies. what bugs the current government is that they have no influence on the Canadian banks. I wonder who other than these banks would be able to maintain the cash and cashless economy in the Bahamas if it was not for them. Count the number of ATM's that are NOT provided by Canadian banks. Keep sawing on the branch you are siting on Mr. Gibson.

I prefer to hear three people talking on a stage, rather than one. And its free entertainment. Its like circus, there are circus horses, ballerinas and clowns (and sometimes elephants).

ok, interesting. we tried for years to get solar going in the family islands, everybody in the government did all the could to kill it. and now it should fly? solar is partially the wrong policy anyway, the key is to do tidal energy and or hybrid solar/wind.

now that we have VAT, the government should check who of the people made redundant are PLP's and then hire them. The good news: We can save money by not giving them an office, nor a key, just a job and a salary, plus an entitlement for a guaranteed pension.

Seriously, I feel for the people that were laid off, the reality however is also these should be people that are well trained, can read, write and work a phone and a computer, and should be able to find a job, probably at the cost of persons that don't have these skills, and that is the problem to start with.

So whether the Gov hires these people in the first place or has to pay social services to pick up people that lose their jobs because of lack of training, without getting the economy back on track, this will not end.
